The WWE Superstars perform on Monday Night RAW and SmackDown Live each and every week, but there is a whole lot of wrestling that most fans don't get to see.

Dubbed WWE Live events, these non-televised shows happen most nights of the years, as Superstars travel all across the world to entertain fans who wouldn't be able to see the men and women of WWE live any other way.

But though these shows may not be broadcast by WWE, that doesn't mean that they haven't seen their fair share of shocking, insulting and embarrassing moments.

In fact, live events can often seen more shocking moments, as the cameras aren't there, though anything controversial will quickly find its way to social media thanks to the fans.

Here are five truly shocking moments that happened at WWE Live events.

Throughout his 17-year career in WWE, Randy Orton has achieved a lot.

A two-time Royal Rumble winner and 13-time World Champion, the Viper has appeared in countless matches for the company, both televised and untelevised.

At a July 2013 live event in Cape Town, South Africa, Orton entered the ring ready for what he thought was going to be another normal night.

As he posed on the second rope though, an over-exhuberant fan got in the ring, low blowing WWE's Apex Predator.

Ever the professional, Orton sold the attack like a champ, but was still able to compete that night, where he defeated Big E.

It turns out that the attacker was a local wrestler, trying to make a name for himself, but was escorted from the arena before either Superstar got a hold of him.

In the original ECW, a match between the Man Beast Rhyno, and the Japanese Buzzsaw Tajiri would have been a big money bout.

But on SmackDown in 2003, things were seemingly different.

Appearing at a house show on August 31, the pair were reportedly told by the boss Mr McMahon not to mess up, according to an interview with Rhyno.

As the match between the two lost the crowd's interest, Vince McMahon himself appeared, abruptly ending the match, and sent both Superstars to the back.

At least the pair got paid well, according to the Man Beast.

"But, I actually got a really good pay off, too. I think [Vince] felt bad because I did get a really good paycheck for that match."

In their place, McMahon hosted a bikini contest between Sable, Dawn Marie, Torrie Wilson and Nidia.

#3: CM Punk uses crass language

Chris Jericho has always been able to get a reaction out of the crowd whether as a face or as a heel.

But in July 2012, the AEW Star made headlines for all the wrong reasons at a WWE Live event in Brazil.

Grabbing the Brazilian flag, Y2J kicked it around the ring, a poor sign of disrespect to a nation so proud of its heritage.

As pressure grew on WWE to deal some sort of punishment, Jericho was suspended for 30 days, forcing him to miss a match against Randy Orton at No Way Out.

“I made a bad judgment call in the course of entertaining [WWE] fans in Brazil,” Jericho told WWE.com. “I apologized to the people in the crowd for showing disrespect.”
“It was a bad move,” Jericho added. “I did it with [our] fans’ entertainment in mind and I’ll accept the consequences for that."

When Fit Finlay stepped away from an on-screen role in 2009, he found a comfortable spot behind the scenes.

Using his decades in wrestling, the Belfast Bruiser was able to elevate plenty of moments, though made a huge mistake during a March 25, 2011 live event.

Mere days away from WrestleMania 27, Finlay agreed to the idea of WWE Champion The Miz interrupting the U.S. National Anthem, to get heat from the crowd.

Whilst the plan certainly worked, members of the National Guard (a WWE sponsor), who were attending too great offence to this.

Finlay was quickly released from the company, though has since returned.

In an interview with British tabloid The Sun, the Irishman explained himself:

"It wasn’t intended to insult anybody in that way it was just part of an entertaining show. That’s what we do; we entertain. It’s about cheers and boos.”
