5 shocking things Jon Moxley revealed about Brock Lesnar in his recent interview

Jon Moxley seems to be gaining a lot of traction after leaving WWE. At first, he released a promo video right after his contract with WWE expired. After that, he appeared at AEW’s Double or Nothing show right at the very end to leave the wrestling world in a state of shock.

If you thought that was enough, then you are absolutely wrong, as Moxley then went on to speak on Chris Jericho’s podcast Talk Is Jericho and revealed a bunch of controversial things about the company – especially its writers and Vince McMahon – that I listed down here.

However, he didn’t stop there as he spoke to Wade Keller in an interview where he spilled even more beans. While the interview itself was well over 2 hours, there is a segment where he speaks about Brock Lesnar, where he made a lot of revelations about the Beast.

And here are 5 of them…

#5 Changed SummerSlam plans

They say that Vince McMahon is a stubborn man and doesn’t change his plans often. However, that might not be the case when he is up against Brock Lesnar as the Chairman changed the Shield's reunion plan, which was supposed to close out the PPV, at the very last minute due to Lesnar.

“At 6pm before the show, everything that was supposed to happen – The Shield coming out that the writers have been working on tirelessly to have this perfect ending at SummerSlam that was good…
“...Brock comes in at 6pm and changes everything. And Vince is like, ‘Okay, we’re gonna go with Brock’s idea’ and it made everybody else look stupid except Brock, and the writers are just sitting there watching it in a room and they’re just like, ‘Come on, we had this great ending to the show...’”

#4 Lesnar thought he was doing Ambrose a favor

I really don’t know how to explain this. Perhaps it is best said when used an allegory of sorts. When someone becomes a huge name in any field, she/he could become complacent – especially if they are still in that field because of the money involved.

In the case of Brock Lesnar, he is now a household name and he is only in the wrestling business for the money. As a result, he might not be too keen to try out new things.

That is what Jon Moxley claimed as he pitched out a lot of ideas for their WrestleMania clash but Lesnar didn’t bother as he thought that he was doing Moxley a favor.

“I think he truly thought he was just doing me a favor. [Lesnar thought] me being in the ring with him was enough to do awesome things for me. I think that’s what he thought. He didn’t want to be there.”

#3 Lesnar wasn’t listening

This is merely a continuation of the earlier point as Moxley repeatedly claimed that the Beast wasn’t really keen on doing any angle with him. Indeed, when they had a conference call, Moxley stated that he didn’t think Lesnar was evening listening to what he was saying.

He pitched many ideas about how the match could go as he wanted it to be worthy of a WrestleMania match. He, according to himself, wanted Lesnar to “kill” him.

Moxley wanted Lesnar to brutalize him and went as far as claiming that should he have really died at the hands of Lesnar in that match, he would have gone out as a legend.

As we all know from his past in the indies, Moxley is a hardcore wrestler and can take one hell of a beating – and he wanted that against Lesnar, and pitched a great many ideas, but he wasn’t even listening.

#2 Didn’t put effort

When you can’t even properly listen to the ideas your opponent has pitched about a WrestleMania match that you two are about to have, then how can you put effort on the said match?

Moxley claimed that nobody put any effort to make the match interesting – apart from himself. He claimed that nobody did anything, and that Lesnar was not a least bit interested in what he had suggested.

He wanted Lesnar to slam him in a bunch of thumb tacks but it didn’t happen. Moxley wanted to spray pepper in Lesnar’s eyes and then assault him with weapons, and while Lesnar liked this idea, there wasn’t enough time to make the spot look good.

Moxley then claimed that had he shown interest some weeks ago, this move could have been executed. But as we all know, Lesnar is Lesnar – a big draw – and goes on by his own rules.

#1 Gets treated differently

It also doesn’t help other WWE Superstars that Brock Lesnar is treated differently. We didn’t actually need Moxley to reveal this as this is already a well-known fact which enables Lesnar to do what he wants.

Moxley stated that Lesnar gets treated differently and that he would rather work with Chris Jericho than Lesnar. Moxley also revealed that Lesnar didn’t show up until 3pm on the day of their WrestleMania match when the show itself was set to start at 5pm.

If any other Superstar did that, she/he would have had to face repercussions for it. However, this is Lesnar we are talking about. This is a guy who didn’t take part in the Money In The Bank Ladder Match from the beginning and then right at the very end, ran into the ring and unhooked the briefcase – all in a work of just 10 seconds – when the other Superstars took a battering to put out the best possible version of the match.
