5 Stipulations the Finn Balor vs Drew McIntyre match could get at WWE TLC

Expect an all-out war between the two European superstars

The WWE Creative team have shockingly booked a random match between Finn Balor and Drew McIntyre for the WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs pay-per-view. Now, it is good news for Finn Balor fans that the Irish superstar has finally gotten a PPV singles match but it would have made much more sense had he been allowed to compete in the finals of the Mixed Match Challenge along with Bayley.

Nevertheless, the match has been announced and is all set to take place on the 16th of December. The Tables, Ladders and Chairs PPV is known to give the WWE Universe some extreme matches and given the level of talent the two superstars possess, it would be better if the Creative team gives a stipulation to this match as well.

Here are the 5 possible stipulations that the WWE could give to the Balor vs McIntyre match.

#5 Chairs Match

With a Tables Match already announced for the Natalya vs Ruby Riott match, WWE could give this match a chairs stipulation
With a Tables Match already announced for the Natalya vs Ruby Riott match, WWE could give this match a chairs stipulation

WWE TLC match card already has two Tables, Ladders and Chairs Matches - (Baron Corbin vs Braun Strowman and Asuka vs Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women's Championship) and so this match may not be given a TLC stipulation.

Also, the WWE announced a tables match between Natalya and Ruby Riott for the TLC PPV and having another tables match on the card is something that WWE will not do. Having Finn Balor and Drew McIntyre clash in a chairs match could see both the superstars crossing all limits to destroy each other. WWE could book a chairs match by having Finn Balor attack McIntyre with steel chairs on RAW this week which would lead the Scottish Psychopath to instructing Corbin to attach a chairs stipulation to their match.

#4 No Disqualification Match

WWE could book this match as a No DQ and let both the superstars make use of all the weapons

A No Disqualification Match would allow the Creative team to have both the superstars make use of all weapons possible. Having a chairs or a tables match will restrict the usage of other weapons in the match but by having a no disqualification match, WWE could allow Balor and McIntyre to make use of fire extinguishers, announce tables and also tables, ladders and chairs.

The both superstars have clashed earlier in the ring but have never fought in a No Disqualification match. Also, WWE could have Baron Corbin or Bobby Lashley interfere in the match to affect the result. And with the PPV card having lesser matches as compared to other WWE PPVs the former NXT champions can tear each other apart in a long match making use of the weapons.

#3 Ladder Match with the Universal Championship Match Contract hanging above

After all, it's top title of RAW
After all, it's top title of RAW

Now this is an outside possibility and the chances of this happening are very few. Braun Strowman was supposed to challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view but with his elbow injury the Monster seems to be out of the title picture now.

So, the WWE would want to crown a new #1 contender for the Universal Championship and having Balor and McIntyre clash off in a ladders match for the #1 contender-ship would be an apt decision. Finn Balor was the first ever Universal Champion and is yet to win the title back ever since returning while Drew McIntyre seems to the next big thing in the WWE and is the prime contender to win the title from Lesnar. Having Finn Balor win this match can satisfy the WWE Universe and the WWE could have McIntyre clash against Lesnar at the Grandest Stage later in 2019.

#2 Dolph Ziggler as the Special Guest Referee

Dolph Ziggler became the first superstar to defeat Drew McIntyre via pinfall ever since the Scottish Psychopath made his return to the main roster and maybe he could feud with McIntyre in the coming weeks. Ziggler has earned the respect of the WWE Universe as a face superstar and given the dearth of faces on RAW, it would be great to have Ziggler return to his old character.

WWE can have Dolph as the special guest referee for this match which would play the catalyst to the McIntyre vs Ziggler feud. The former RAW tag team champion can cost his former partner his match against Balor by counting the three count quickly and thus, initiating a new rivalry. Also, this would hand Finn Balor a much needed win and could set his path towards the top of the roster.

#1 If Finn Balor loses, he is demoted to 205 Live

Baron Corbin has personal vendetta against Finn Balor

The leader of the Balor Club and the acting General Manager of RAW Baron Corbin have been a part of quite a long feud this year. The Lone Wolf has developed a personal vendetta against the first ever Universal Champion and it seems like he could be the next superstar who would be fired from RAW.

This match could be attached a stipulation that if Finn Balor loses he would be demoted to 205 Live. Given that Balor weighs less than 205 pounds, this could well be a strong possibility. He can have some memorable feuds on the Cruiserweight brand with the likes of Buddy Murphy or maybe even Cedric Alexander.
