Triple H is undeniably one of the greatest WWE Superstars in the company's illustrious history. A decorated 14-time World Champion, The Game has achieved virtually everything that is to be won in this business. He has performed in the main event of seven WrestleMania shows and has been at the top of the pecking order for most parts of his WWE career.

In recent years, he has decidedly slowed down his in-ring career in favor of grooming the Superstars of tomorrow. Apart from being the head-honcho of WWE NXT, Triple H has played an invaluable role in recruiting athletes from across the globe and, in the process, make WWE a diversified working place.

However, a Superstar of his stature is never short of potential challengers. Even though countless stars of his age have hung up their wrestling boots for good, Triple H continues to attract attention from modern Superstars who want to face him in the squared circle. Even some of his old opponents have expressed their desire to face him again, possibly for the final time.

That said, let's look at five Superstars who want to face Triple H. Do share your dream opponents for The Game in the comments section below.

#5 NWA World Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis vs. Triple H has 'old-school' written all over it

NWA World Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis is probably the only wrestler in the world right now who operates with the kind of in-ring psychology Triple H used in his heydays. His worth ethic, and the way he carries himself with a tinge of arrogance, gives major Triple H vibes. Naturally, a match between the two can be a brilliant battle of intelligence that will harken back to the days of territorial wrestling.

Back in 2020, in an interview, Aldis revealed Triple H to be one of his dream opponents he would like to face before his career comes to an end.

"There are several, honestly. I mean, I know that I've said this before. I've always felt like to me, the ultimate sort of culmination of this journey and given this sort of historical context of all that stuff would be Triple H at Starrcade."

Nick Aldis' relationship with WWE is somewhat fraught, as the two parties have never come to an agreement despite multiple talks over the years. However, given Aldis' wife, Mickie James is in WWE, there's every chance he may land up in the global juggernaut sometime down the line, and face Triple H.

#4 Pete Dunne wants to have a stable war with Triple H and DX in the future

Pete Dunne owes a lot of his success to Triple H. It is because of The Game that he got signed with NXT and finds himself performing on national television. However, he also revealed that he wants to get his hands on Triple H in the squared circle. Back in 2017, Dunne said in an interview that a stable war pitting British Strong Style against D-Generation X is one of his dream matches.

"For the three of us, The Shield has got to be up there, but I guess D-Generation X is the one right?"

While this match doesn't look like it could realistically happen, a singles clash pitting Dunne against Triple H could be a tremendous encounter. Considering how The Game has a history of betraying those who consider him a mentor, it wouldn't be shocking if he turns on Dunne when the latter shows up on the main roster.

The clash could be a passing of the torch moment for Dunne, as beating Triple H could send him into the stratosphere and make him one of the biggest Superstars in the business.

#3 Booker T wants to have a WrestleMania 19 rematch against Triple H

Booker T vs. Triple H at WrestleMania 19 is one of the most poorly-received championship matches in WWE history. Apart from being just a lifeless encounter, with a widely criticized ending, the build to the match was in poor taste and put-off many viewers.

As a result, not many fans have expressed their interest in revisiting their rivalry. However, the WCW legend has shown a keen interest in having a rematch with The Game, given the situation and circumstances are right. He talked about the prospective clash on his podcast recently.

"Well, I'm going to tell you right now - if Triple H and Booker T went down, it would have to be in Saudi. Because they passing out big, big cheques (laughs)... stimulus cheques. There again, for me to get in the ring, the situation will have to be right. I would want to get paid to get back in the ring. I would love to have another match - there again - (if) the situation is right, with Triple H."

A match between the two at a show in Saudi Arabia sounds perfect in every way. With no pressure of building a long story around it, the two can go and have an exhibition match, hit their best moves, and get done with it. It could also erase the memories of their 2003 feud for good.

#2 The Rock wants to face Triple H for the last time in his career

The Rock and Triple H are inarguably two of the greatest to ever lace up the wrestling boots, and their matches together have been nothing short of spectacular. From their ladder match at SummerSlam 1998 to their clash at Backlash 2000, Rock and Triple H have wrestled some of the most memorable bouts of that generation.

However, The Rock seemingly wants another shot at Triple H and end their rivalry. In 2017, during the L.A. Comic-Con, The Brahma Bull revealed he would like to wrestle The Game for the final time in his career. Moreover, the two were set to collide at WrestleMania 32, but The Rock's schedule came in between, and the match never transpired.

That said, if at all circumstances arise where the two can be pitted against each other, this is a sure-shot money match that will bring back the old fans in droves. Realistically though, this will remain a pipe-dream due to Rock's packed schedule and Triple H's full-time focus on nurturing newer talent.

#1 AJ Styles wants to take on Triple H in a dream match

After wrestling The Undertaker in a Boneyard match at WrestleMania 36, AJ Styles has expressed his desire to face Triple H. It is probably the only match on this list that could legitimately take place in the modern WWE landscape. Both Styles and The Game are veterans of the business, with years of experience behind them. While one spent the majority of his career outside of the global juggernaut, the other was consistently selling out WWE pay-per-views with his matches.

In a recent interview with WWE Now India, Styles revealed that a dream match with Triple H is on his mind for the upcoming WrestleMania 37.

"Triple H is definitely the next guy I'd like to face at some point. It could happen, maybe not. But it was an absolute pleasure to be in the ring, or not necessarily the ring, the Boneyard with the Undertaker."

The 2016 Royal Rumble match where Triple H won his last WWE Championship also saw AJ Styles making his highly-anticipated debut for the company. With such poetic history tying their fates, the bout would be an easy sell, and WWE should be wise enough to book this.

Considering how great his match against The Undertaker was, Styles and The Game could have a classic for the ages if booked rightly under ideal circumstances.
