5 things WWE could do next week on Raw

Becky Lynch versus Vince McMahon. who wins?

This week's edition of Monday Night Raw wasn't the company's best and while it was nice to see NXT superstars like Ricochet, Aleister Black and DIY mix it up on the main roster, one could argue that it held very little purpose. In fact, the only real purpose it had was to promote NXT, which is a network exclusive.

That wasn't the only problem however as many of WWE's top stars weren't there and the ones that were didn't receive the best of treatment either. Beyond that, The main event between Ronda Rousey and Ruby Riott served little to no purpose to her overall storyline. Furthermore, it just seemed like

In the end, it just made for some of the most uninteresting television WWE has put out in the last month or so and did a lot to kill the momentum that the company had spent a long time building up. That's why WWE needs to do these five things in the future to make sure Monday Night Raw is more interesting!

#5 NXT invasion

How awesome would an NXT invasion be right now?
How awesome would an NXT invasion be right now?

WWE could have made a statement with the arrival of Aleister Black, Johnny Gargano and Tommasso Champa, but instead to play it unbearably safe. Sure, Ricochet made a surprise save for Finn Balor and ended up in a pretty satisfying tag team match, but the match served little to no purpose.

With that being said and WrestleMania 35 right around the corner, why not script an invasion storyline and have these guys make a true impact on the main roster? If nothing else, it would pop ratings, be great promotion for NXT and would be a way for these guys to integrate seamlessly on the main roster.

Maybe it's a little too adventurous of an idea for WWE to do right now, especially right before WrestleMania 35, but it would be a lot better than what fans were treated to Monday Night on Raw.

#4 Steel cage match for the women's tag team titles

Can The Boss N Hug connection defeat Nia Jax and Tamina Snuka?

There's been some bad blood brewing between Nia Jax and Tamina Snuka, and Bayley and Sasha Banks lately, and what better way to settle it than to do a steel cage match? Interestingly enough, this would be the first women's tag team steel cage match in WWE history and would be very interesting to watch live on Raw.

Beyond that, it's a great match to help showcase just how important those titles are to those four competitors. It also allows WWE to play up Bayley and Sasha Banks as babyfaces by having one get trapped in the cage and beat up after the other escaped. At least that way, it's a new layer to the same story and really makes coming out the victor all the more impressive.

In the end, it's these kind of things that will help Monday Night Raw regain its traction in the ratings and hopefully gain back some momentum for WrestleMania 35. If nothing else, it's at least a way to prove that last week wasa blunder and that they are working on trying to get things back to normal soon.

#3 Turn Dean Ambrose leaving into a storyline

Why isn't this already a storyline?

Sure, one could argue that WWE doesn't exactly want to build up a guy that is just going to be gone in a few months, but it could be a huge way to grab ratings when the company is in need of them. WWE doesn't even really need to have him win in the end, he can come out looking like that they want him to, but they could at least give fans a reason to believe otherwise.

In all honesty, Dean Ambrose sitting down on the entrance ramp and airing his displeasure with WWE would be one of the most interesting segments the company has done in a while. It would also blur help to blur the line between storyline and reality, which could help to spice up the Road to WrestleMania 35 immensely after their dud on Raw.

In the end, what do they have to lose? It was rumored that WWE was going to start thinking outside of the box and what better way to do that than to make a contract coming up into a storyline? Again, it would be some of the best television WWE has done this year and with the number of gems they have had already, that's really saying something.

#2 Make Vince McMahon versus Becky Lynch a focal point

Vince McMahon versus Becky Lynch. Who wins?
Vince McMahon versus Becky Lynch. Who wins?

WWE's biggest mistake on Raw was not continuing the feud between Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey. Even worse, WWE pretty much acted like the feud didn't exist and instead chose to focus on Rousey defending her belt. Keep in mind that this is only a week after Vince McMahon took Lynch out of the match and drew the ire of The Man.

With that being said, WWE not following up on that was a crime against nature and they really need to make McMahon versus Lynch a focal point in the next couple of weeks. Not only will that allow WWE to add even more meaning to the eventual clash between Rousey, Lynch and Charlotte, but it also allows Lynch to finally unload on the chairman of WWE.

Think about it! It would be a moment on the same level as when Big Show punched Triple H, the first time Rollins turned on his brothers and the moment that Daniel Bryan turned heel. Beyond that, it would be the perfect way to continue the build to her match at WrestleMania 35 and make it as personal as possible!

#1 Play up Brock Lesnar as a heel again

Should Brock Lesnar go on another rampage?
Should Brock Lesnar go on another rampage?

Wouldn't it be amazing if WWE took a page out of the Ruthless Aggression playbook? For example, what if Brock Lesnar came back to Monday Night Raw and decided to play up on his heel role again. In fact, what if Lesnar started randomly victimizing superstars that were about Seth Rollins's size to show fans the beating that The Kingslayer is in for.

Think about it! WWE could even have Brock Lesnar destroy Dean Ambrose while Seth Rollins is out with an injury and make things even more personal between the WrestleMania opponents. With that being said and WWE needing to create some kind of storyline between Lesnar and Rollins, this is probably the easiest way to go about it.

In the end, it would be a welcome break from the safe bets that WWE has been banking on lately and would at least put the Universal title picture back into the spotlight for the time being.
