5 things WWE must do on Raw next week

WWE has announced three major returns for the next week's episode of Raw. John Cena, Braun Strowman and the current Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, along with Paul Heyman, will return to WWE programming next week. Along with that, Chad Gable and Bobby Roode are set to defend their tag team championship against the team of Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson, The Revival.

Alexa Bliss will debut her new talk show with Ronda Rousey as her first guest. We will also get to see the new side of Seth Rollins and we might even see a new contender for Dean Ambrose's Intercontinental title.

With the Royal Rumble PPV at the end of the month, WWE would also be looking to add more name to the Rumble match as well as setting more matches for the PPV. Here we look at five things WWE should consider doing for the next week's Raw.

#5 Rollins gets another opportunity at the Intercontinental Championship

Last week, Rollins demanded his rematch against Dean Ambrose for the Intercontinental Championship. However, Triple H came out and rejected his demand, saying that opportunities will not be handed on Raw; rather they would be earned. Triple H demanded to see the old Seth Rollins and booked him in a match against Bobby Lashley while Dean Ambrose was slated to defend his title against the winner of the Battle Royal match which was eventually won by Apollo Crews.

This week on Raw, Triple H might try to bring out more ruthlessness in Rollins by forcing him to compete in a handicap match or completely ignoring his demands and asking him to show more hunger.

This may result in Rollins finally snapping and coming face to face with the Game, after which HHH might award Rollins his Intercontinental title rematch at the Royal Rumble PPV.

#4. The Revival win the Raw Tag Team Championship

For tag team wrestling in WWE Raw, 2018 could not be considered a good year. The division has been on a decline ever since The Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman, interfered in the tag team battle royal match mid-match and laid out all the tag teams. He then won it on his own and then went on to challenge and win the tag team belts with Nicholas, a 10-year-old kid at Wrestlemania. The division has not recovered after that. But that was last year and WWE has a chance to change it all starting from this year.

As part of next week's Raw, The Revival will get another opportunity at the tag belts against Gable and Roode. Although the Revival has been treated very badly ever since they returned from injury, they could still revitalize the tag team on Raw. WWE must let The Revival win the title and let them do what they do best - wrestle classic matches against other teams on Raw and bring back the glory to the tag division.

The Revival would make a great tag team champion and they deserve it after their hard work in NXT.

#3. Alexa Bliss introduces Lacey Evans as Rousey's next opponent

Alexa Bliss has been sidelined for a long time now. She suffered multiple concussions after her match at the Hell in a Cell pay per view and has not returned to in-ring action ever since the PPV. There is no report yet on the medical condition of Bliss and judging by her recent absence from the ring, we may conclude that Bliss still has not been cleared to make her return to the ring.

However, Bliss has recently transitioned into authority role and after the McMahons took over, she is now debuting her own talk show, which will be the first female talk show in WWE history. Bliss's new show, titled 'A Moment of Bliss' will feature Ronda Rousey as her guest. Ronda is the current Raw Women's Champion, and with no opponent set for her at the Royal Rumble PPV, Bliss might introduce a new face to challenge Ronda for the title at the PPV.

Lacey Evans, who is on her way to the main roster from NXT, might be the one to challenge Rousey and make her arrival on Raw in a grand fashion.

#2. Drew McIntyre interrupts Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman

Brock Lesnar and his Universal Championship have been absent from weekly television as the champ rarely shows up on Raw. However, Brock is scheduled to defend his championship and his opponent is none other than Braun Strowman. Although Strowman is currently injured, he has claimed that he will compete at the Royal Rumble PPV.

Next week, Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman are returning to Raw. Strowman is bound to confront the beast and the two might even brawl if Braun is medically cleared. However, WWE must keep Strowman and Lesnar separate and should use this opportunity to make Drew McIntyre look good.

Brock could taunt Braun to fight him and leave the ring when Strowman agrees to it. Brock, however, should be attacked by Drew McIntyre from behind. McIntyre could drop Lesnar with a claymore kick and warn both Lesnar and Strowman that he would win the rumble and would come for the Universal Champion after that.

#1. John Cena announces entry into Royal Rumble match

Will Cena be in the Royal Rumble match?

John Cena returned to Smackdown last week when he teamed up with Becky Lynch to face the team of Zelina Vega and Andrade "Cien" Almas. Cena has been announced for both Raw and Smackdown, as he is working a limited schedule and wants to compete on both the brands while he is here. Cena however, did not announce his status for the Royal Rumble match on Smackdown.

Cena could come to Raw this week and announce his intention to enter the Royal Rumble match and win it for the third time. However, he would not want to directly enter the Rumble but would rather want to earn the opportunity to do the same and would call out any superstar from the locker room to face him for an opportunity to enter the Rumble.

Enter Finn Balor.

Balor could accept Cena's challenge and the two could face each other in the main event of Raw where the winner would enter the Royal Rumble match while the loser will not be allowed to compete in the match. Cena vs Balor is a feud waiting to happen and the leader of Cenation must put over the Balor Club leader. Balor would gain a lot from beating Cena and would be a believable winner if he wins the Rumble.
