5 things WWE should do at Elimination Chamber 2019

Can Randy Orton clinch his 14th world title at Elimination Chamber?

Ever since its inception in 2010, the Elimination Chamber has been one of the most anticipated events in WWE during a calendar year. It often acts as the final test for the World Champion before he readies himself for his Wrestlemania opponent. Even No Way Out had such an honor since it usually had one or even two Elimination Chamber matches on the card.

The 2019 edition of the Elimination Chamber is no different. Even though there has not been much hype heading into the event, there are quite a few important things for the PPV.

The first-ever women's tag team champions will be crowned at Elimination Chamber 2019. Charlotte Flair may play a huge role during the RAW women's championship match between Ronda Rousey and Ruby Riott. Six men will fight for the WWE Championship inside the chamber. However, in this list, we will take a look at a few things WWE should do at Elimination Chamber 2019.

#5. Put an end to the neverending rivalry between Braun Strowman and Baron Corbin

Braun Strowman and Baron Corbin are two big guys with a considerable amount of talent for their size. However, these two superstars have been going at each other for nearly a quarter of a year - after Corbin cost Strowman the Universal title at WWE Crown Jewel.

It would be an understatement if one says that the fans are not enjoying this feud. This feud not only put both Strowman and Corbin in a stale zone, but also drag other superstars down with it - especially Drew McIntyre.

McIntyre has enough potential to be at the top of the card consistently but is stuck with this lackluster feud. WWE should stop this feud for good at Elimination Chamber.

#4. Have the WWE Championship match close the show

E

It's baffling to comprehend the fact that it has been almost a year since a WWE title match headlined a WWE PPV. Even worse, the last time a WWE Championship match headlined a dual-branded PPV was at WWE Battleground 2016 - the last PPV before the brand split. This is a huge disrespect to the single most prestigious titles in Professional wrestling history.

WWE had a lot of chances to have the WWE title match headline a PPV but chose not to. Even the Intercontinental title got an opportunity to headline Extreme Rules 2018. However, WWE has a golden chance at redemption at Elimination Chamber 2019. There are no other matches that have more weight than the WWE Championship match. Thus, WWE should have the WWE Championship match headline the event.

Plus, no other match equals the star power of the main event.

#3. Not have Bayley and Sasha Banks win the inaugural women's tag team titles.

Who will become the inaugural women's tag team champions?

This one is bound to be controversial but has to be here in this list. Without an iota of doubt, among everyone involved in the Elimination Chamber match for the Women's tag team championship, The Boss 'N' Hug connection are the most popular.

Sasha Banks is one of the most talented women wrestlers in WWE and Bayley is not far behind. They have been teaming up for the more than a year and look all set to become the inaugural Women's tag team champions. However, it would be better if WWE waits till Wrestlemania 35 to crown the most popular women's tag team.

WWE should have another team win the tag team titles at Elimination Chamber, to drop to the Hug and Boss connection at Wrestlemania 35. Such a move would give a huge Wrestlemania moment to Bayley and Sasha Banks.

Moreover, if the Iiconics, Riott Squad or Fire & Desire win the championship, they would also rise to relevancy leading up to Wrestlemania.

#2. Have Balor win the Intercontinental Championship

This one is no brainer. WWE might have made a smart move by having Finn Balor face both Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush in a two on one handicap match for the Intercontinental championship. Balor could pin Rush to win the championship, hence protecting Lashley.

Balor needs a title win after the demoralizing defeat he suffered at the hands of Brock Lesnar at Royal Rumble 2019.

#1. Have Daniel Bryan retain the WWE Championship

Daniel Bryan should not lose his WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber.

Whether you love or hate Daniel Bryan, there is no denying that his new persona is fantastic. Bryan is now a "conscious" WWE Champion and has introduced an eco-friendly WWE Championship belt a few weeks ago. With Erick Rowan joining his ranks, expect Bryan's company to grow as time goes on.

With a fresh creative direction for the WWE Championship, it would be a shame if WWE decides to pull Bryan from the main event scene. It would hurt both Bryan and the buildup for the WWE Championship match at Wrestlemania 35.
