PW Insider's Mike Johnson has reported that there have been talks of doing more with Trish Stratus and Lita in early 2019, as well as plans for them at WrestleMania.

With WWE Evolution being a huge success for the two aforementioned women's wrestling pioneers, there seem to be endless opportunities for utilising this momentum, and making the best of it.

Make sure to leave your thoughts in the comments section below, as we take a look at a few things WWE could do with Trish Stratus and Lita at WrestleMania 35.

#1 Introduce the women's tag team championships

WrestleMania 35 could be a perfect opportunity to introduce the women's tag team titles

There have been rumors of WWE debuting a set of women's tag team titles. The plan has not come to fruition as of this writing. However, WrestleMania 35 could be a perfect opportunity do so.

Trish Stratus and Lita could do the honours of being one of the very first sets of women to wrestle for those belts.

Moreover, WWE Evolution proved that both of these veterans are capable of coexisting together, whilst also having a great tag-team chemistry at the same time. It would also be understandable that at this stage of their respective careers, Trish and Lita are more likely to fare better as a tag-team than as top singles competitors.

Of course the above statement is debatable (more on that later), but when an opportunity like this arises, it is only best to make the most of it.

Do you think involving both of these women in a tag-team scenario for WrestleMania 35 is a good idea?

#2 Alexa Bliss faces either Trish Stratus or Lita at WrestleMania 35

It was disappointing to hear that Alexa Bliss would not be competing in a tag team match with Mickie James against Trish and Lita at WWE Evolution, which meant that their intense build-up had all been for nothing.

However, another way to follow-up this storyline leads us to WrestleMania 35. Maybe Alexa Bliss could go one on one against Trish Stratus or Lita at the grandest stage of them all.

Of course, either one of the veterans not competing would have to be ringside, and as mentioned in the previous slide - there are questions with regards Trish Stratus and Lita being capable of putting forth a classic singles wrestling match with high stakes involved.

While that question might have a different answer for every wrestling fan out there, what we have to understand is that there is already a back story involved here.

Will this back-story result into a 'what-if' scenario? Or will WWE capitalise on this story and save it for WrestleMania next year?

#3 Lita and Trish Stratus face each other for 'the last time ever'

Could Lita and Trish Stratus face each other at WrestleMania 35?
Could Lita and Trish Stratus face each other at WrestleMania 35?

This one is a complete deviation from the previous two slides, as Lita and Trish Stratus are going to be facing off against one another, instead of standing side by side.

At some point, both of these women would have to look further than just being a tag-team on the main roster.

While there are plenty of other superstars either one of them could challenge for a WrestleMania match, there would be a lot of intrigue behind WWE's take on Lita and Trish facing-off against each other in 2018.

Of course, it goes without saying that there will always be a question of whether or not Lita and Trish can still perform at a top level.

It means that this particular booking decision would require a lot of focus on storytelling and promos, and sometimes if storytelling triumphs, then the angle already becomes successful.

In other words, WWE would need to work very hard on selling the fans on Lita vs Trish for the 'last time ever', everything becomes organic from there on.

#4 Lita faces Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 35

Lita and Becky Lynch have a lot of similarities
Lita and Becky Lynch have a lot of similarities

There is a particular reason why I specifically picked Lita for this particular booking decision. Both Lita and Becky Lynch had to fight hard for what they wanted to achieve, and both of them have a certain 'attitude' or 'edge' that allows several viewers to enjoy their programmes against other wrestlers.

The Lita associated with Trish Stratus right now is not the full-fledged character we knew from back in the day. The current Lita is a veteran giving it another chance, while also having fun with her colleague (Trish) at the same time.

People miss that 'edgy' version of Lita. Maybe putting her in a feud with Becky Lynch is just what ignites her flame, and sparks a reaction that brings back that persona from the past. Also, with Becky Lynch's insanely popular scenario right now, do you think that pulling the trigger on Lita vs Becky Lynch for WrestleMania 35 would be a good decision?

#5 The past versus the present

WrestleMania 35: Past versus the present?
WrestleMania 35: Past versus the present?

The year 2018 is a year where there has been a lot of past names coming back for one last gig. This also means that next year is better than any other time to pull off a 'past versus present' themed WrestleMania match including Trish Stratus and Lita.

It could be a tag-team match. However, when you think on a broader scale, WWE could experiment with various match types in order to fit this theme. In order to portray succinct sequences, they could throw an elimination tag stipulation in there. Maybe even a gauntlet match.

The possibilities are endless.
