WWE has started taking the health and well being of their Superstars very seriously, albeit it was only after a spate of horrific injuries suffered by many former and present wrestlers.

In their quest to make wrestling safe for their Superstars, WWE has taken considerable measures. Starting from strictly enforcing the wellness policy to reducing blows to the head and finally banning some moves which were deemed too dangerous for the Superstars to put their lives and careers on the risk for, WWE has put the health of their Superstars on the front.

However, many current and formers WWE Superstars have had to change/modify or completely give up on their finishers due to them being banned by WWE for being too dangerous.

Here are 4 WWE Superstars whose finishers have been banned by the WWE:

#4 Samoa Joe - Muscle buster

Sadly, this was banned too late
Sadly, this was banned too late

Before the Coquina Clutch, Samoa Joe used the 'Muscle buster' to crush his opponents and many big names including AJ Styles and Kurt Angle have been on the receiving end of this brutal finisher.

The Samoan Submission Machine's finisher 'Muscle buster' was earlier allowed by the WWE and Joe would have still been able to use it if not for the career-ending injuries Tyson Kidd suffered during a dark match, during which the Samoan botched the finisher.

It is a pity that the move was banned only after the injuries sustained by Kidd and not before.

Here is the video of Samoa Joe successfully executing his finisher on Finn Balor:

#3 Randy Orton - Punt Kick

Thankfully, this was banned!
Thankfully, this was banned!

The Viper's most lethal weapon used to be the Punt Kick before it was banned by the WWE for the damage it caused to the opponent's head. The WWE top brass decided that Randy Orton needs to shun this finisher and focus on RKO and his other famous moves after Superstars were concussed due to the move.

Orton has finished many a match in his long and illustrious career which has included 13 title reigns using the kick. It was a pity to see his finisher being banned, but considering that it was for the best of the health of the Superstars, it is the right decision.

#2 Kevin Owens - Package Piledriver

No, this is not the one that is banned!
No, this is not the one that is banned!

Not many people know this, but the former WWE Universal Champion has a finisher banned by WWE. Kevin Owens' former finisher, the Package Piledriver, was banned by the WWE for being too dangerous, although he only used a modified version of it in the company.

As is the case with any piledriver, the neck of the opponent along with the head is at the most risk. Therefore, there are only a select few Superstars who have been trusted with any variation of the Piledriver - the move which curtailed Stone Cold Steve Austin's career.

#1 Triple H - Original Pedigree

Did you know that Triple H's original Pedigree is banned by the WWE?

Well, while the other three Superstars on this list had to change their finishers, Triple H didn't actually have to change his finisher; he just had to slightly modify it.

But, what is the original pedigree you ask? Well, it is nothing that much complex. In fact, it is just like the Pedigree that is used by The Game these days, albeit with a small change. In the previous iteration of the finisher, Triple H used to lock the hands of his opponent forcing the wrestler to bear the full brunt of the move on their face.

Fortunately, it was deemed too dangerous by the WWE and Triple H had to modify it slightly.
