7 pairs who feuded on WWE TV, and in real life

The world of professional wrestling, is to many, a job. And like all jobs, you have colleagues you get on well with, and some you don't.

And even though the world of wrestling deals a lot with trusting your opponent to keep you safe, sometimes that's easier said than done, especially when you hate the person you're facing, not just as a storyline, but in real life.

Here are 6 pairs of superstars who hated each other on WWE TV as well as in their real lives.

#7 Simon Gotch and Enzo Amore

Gotch floors Amore at the 2016 Payback pay per view, where Amore later received a concussion.

In NXT, Gotch and Amore were part of the brand's tag team renaissance, with Goth teaming with Aiden English, to feud with Amore and Big Cass.

But since his release from the company, Gotch has made it clear he despises the Certified-G, saying that Amore never made the effort to be a better wrestler, and did not have any training prior to joining the company.

“I will say, to his credit, he believes his own bulls**t," he stated. "He is 100% confident in himself to his detriment and the detriment of others around him. He’s an example of someone who has no excuse to not know wrestling, but he doesn’t know wrestling.”

#6 Mr. Kennedy and Randy Orton (and John Cena)

Kennedy and Orton team together, on a 2007 episode of RAW.

Ken Kennedy is someone who never seemingly hit their fullest potential in WWE. Despite an impressive start, beating over half a dozen world Champions in his first year, Kennedy only captured one United States Championship, before his release, which if you believe the Green Bay native, is thanks to Randy Orton.

Kennedy claims that he was released after Orton complained of a stiff suplex from the loudmouth, which caused Orton to fall on his head. Further reports have claimed John Cena agreed with Orton and helped persuade McMahon to cut Kennedy.

Kennedy has done well, joining TNA later in his career, and capturing the TNA World Title, but he hasn't calmed down in interviews over his disdain for the Viper.

#5 CM Punk and Ryback

Two very different wrestlers, the duo crossed paths in 2012 and in 2013, all thanks to Paul Heyman.

In 2012, Ryback was catapulted into the main-event scene, unsuccessfully challenging for the evil Punk's WWE Championship, which the Chicago son would hold for 434 days.

A year later, the roles were reversed, as the villainous Ryback would take on the face Punk, in Punk's feud against former manager Paul Heyman.

Speaking on Colt Cabana's podcast, Punk has said that Ryback was a "liability" and was stiff in the ring.

Ryback has said Punk wasn't good to wrestle with either, in an interview with Buzzards Wrestling podcast.

#4 Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss

The pair

With their joint time in NXT, training and wrestling together, you would think the two RAW superstars would be close friends.

However, whilst feuding on TV, many have speculated that the two (mostly Banks) have real disdain for each other.

The clearest instance of this is Banks' claims that Bliss was a 'fake fan', on WWE RAW Talk, which Banks later said was in character.

"“She came in so fake with her fake little stories, her fake little, oh I love Matt Hardy. You can’t even tell the difference between Jeff and Matt, you idiot,” she said.

Banks has since added fuel to the fire, in a recent interview where she said how she'd wrestle Bliss if she had to because "I am very good at my job.

#3 Alberto Del Rio and Triple H

Del Rio and the Game square off, at a 2010 Live event in Mexico.

Never one to shy away from controversy, Alberto Del Rio's comments about Triple H haven't exactly helped the chances of a future return.

After leaving the company in 2016, Del Rio made a series of live videos over the next year, where he insulted the Game, despite being asked to stop by then-girlfriend Paige.

Del Rio has claimed that whilst in the company, Hunter didn't want them to date, and tried to drive a wedge between them, despite him dating and later marrying colleague, Stephanie McMahon.

The Mexican Aristocrat has said he has apologized, but don't expect to see him in WWE, any time soon.

#2 Hulk Hogan and Scott Steiner

Two larger-than-life figures, both Hogan and Steiner are known for their impressive (and sometimes incoherent) ways with words.

But despite the two working together in WCW, Steiner has made it clear he doesn't like Hogan, blaming him for the downfall of the Atlanta-based company.

The feud only got worse in 2015, when Hogan's wife Jennifer claimed to have been accosted at an airport by the Genetic Freak. Whilst Steiner said it was only a friendly chat, the police did investigate him 'felony terrorist threats'.

In response, Hogan had Steiner banned from the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony that year, which saw fellow WCW star Kevin Nash inducted into the elite group.

#1 Alberto Del Rio and Sin Cara

Del Ri
Del Rio takes it to Cara on RAW.

It's a bad sign that this is the former World Champion's second appearance on the list.

Even before joining the WWE, the two feuded in Mexico, with several reports of real-life backstage fights between the two, having to be broken up by other wrestlers.

In the company, the pair faced off in 2012, in a match which saw Del Rio try to unmask Cara. He has later claimed that it was in-character, but it was still a massive sign of disrespect.

Even now, the two trade insults on social media.
