Analyzing the chances of all six WWE Superstars in the 2019 men's Elimination Chamber match

The lineup for the elimination chamber match for the WWE Championship looks solid

After almost a year, the WWE Championship will finally headline a WWE Pay Per View. The Fastlane PPV of 2018 was the last of such an instance where the most prestigious title in WWE headlined a PPV as AJ Styles took on the challenge of John Cena, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin, and Dolph Ziggler for the WWE Championship.

Thus, WWE has given us a brilliant lineup for this match. All six members involved in this match have some uniqueness, and as a whole, there is no doubt that this clash would be a must-watch affair.

However, all six of these superstars won't end the PPV as champions. Only one would go home with the WWE title. With less than two months to go for WrestleMania, the champion Daniel Bryan would not want to lose his title, whereas all five of his opponents would love to punch their ticket to WrestleMania.

In this thread, we will analyze the chances of all six members of the Elimination Chamber match.

Mustafa Ali

Mustafa Ali recently made his SmackDown LIVE debut
Mustafa Ali recently made his SmackDown LIVE debut

Mustafa Ali is on a dream run. It has been just two months since he made his SmackDown LIVE debut. However, he has impressed the fans and has earned himself a WWE championship opportunity in this short period. Ali had a great match against Randy Orton in the past week and would be looking forward to performing on a greater level.

However, heading into the Elimination Chamber, Ali's chances are very slim. Ali does not have a storyline going on, and it would be a mistake to give him a title this early since it would turn most wrestling fans against him.

Thus, we think that although Ali would have a great outing at the Chamber, he will not end the night standing tall with the WWE Championship.

Predicted finish: 5

Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy has some experience inside the Chamber
Jeff Hardy has some experience inside the Chamber

Jeff Hardy is one of the most passionate WWE Superstars ever to grace a ring. Hardy is never afraid to take a risk, and inside a closed structure, he is even more lethal.

The Charismatic Enigma made his Hell in a Cell debut last year against Randy Orton at Hell in a Cell 2018, where he used the structure to inflict damage on his opponent. It is entirely possible that Hardy would repeat the same inside the Elimination Chamber.

However, from a storyline perspective, Hardy hasn't been much relevant since his feud against Orton came to a conclusion. Hardy has only been on TV for a filler feud against Samoa Joe before being inserted into this match.

Hardy has been eating pinfalls as of late. His DQ victory against the WWE Champion, Daniel Bryan, is the only saving grace he has had lately.

Thus Hardy is in the match to put someone like Samoa Joe over.

Predicted finish: 6

Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe will make his Elimination Chamber debut
Samoa Joe will make his Elimination Chamber debut

Building up to the Elimination Chamber, there is no doubt that Samoa Joe has been the most lethal participant on the mic. The Samoan Submission Machine has roasted all five of his opponents in two minutes - especially Jeff Hardy. Joe has the magic to make any feud serious - a skill only a few wrestlers possess.

However, this is exactly the cycle Joe has been going through on the WWE main roster. Joe owns his opponents on the mic and brawls. However, during the match, WWE does not go all the way with Joe and makes him eat the L.

Thus we should not be surprised if Joe fails to capture the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber - although he is long overdue for such an opportunity. The fact that WWE does not prefer a heel to heel title change also does not help his case. But we could expect him to be in the final three.

Predicted finish: 3

Randy Orton

Can Randy Orton add another Chamber victory to his name?
Can Randy Orton add another Chamber victory to his name?

Randy Orton is in his demonic form and would love to victimize anyone inside the Elimination Chamber. After all, Orton has the most experience inside the Chamber among all the participants of this bout. Orton has won a Chamber match back in 2014 but could not be the victor in the others.

Elimination Chamber for Randy Orton is probably designed to induce his reported WrestleMania rivalry against former WWE Champion, AJ Styles. However, whether that match would be for the WWE Championship or not is still up in the air.

Anyway, it is safe to predict that Orton would not be going out of the Chamber as the WWE Champion. As a matter of fact, it would be surprising to see him get into the top three - since the match is designed to instill the rivalry between the two veterans. Expect Styles to eliminate Orton.

Predicted finish: 4

AJ Styles

AJ Styles came short of Elimination Chamber victory once
AJ Styles came short of Elimination Chamber victory once

AJ Styles has only been inside the chamber once - in 2017. The Phenomenal One entered the chamber to reclaim the title from John Cena. Although the dynamics are altered, Styles has to face a similar situation here. Styles would be looking forward to reclaiming his WWE title from Daniel Bryan. However, things are not looking good for the face that runs the place.

The reports have it that AJ Styles will be starting a new feud with Randy Orton for WrestleMania. As said earlier, the stipulation for the reported WrestleMania match is not yet confirmed. However, with Daniel Bryan's new gimmick going strong, and with him introducing a new title, it would be silly to take the championship off Bryan.

The most probable scenario for AJ Styles would be to eliminate Orton, thus fueling a feud down the line, and then get eliminated due to interference from Rowan, costing him the title yet again.

Predicted finish: Runner up

Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan looks the most likely candidate to win the Elimination Chamber match
Daniel Bryan looks the most likely candidate to win the Elimination Chamber match

Firstly, if the history of the Elimination Chamber is any indicator, WWE has been reluctant to have a title change whenever the defending champion is a heel, especially with a henchman on his side. Daniel Bryan introduced a new championship a couple of weeks ago. It would be silly to throw the new title away even before completing one month on WWE Television.

With a certain character and gimmick in place for Bryan, he needs the WWE title now more than ever. The WWE title would be the cornerstone for his WrestleMania match. Thus, we think Bryan would retain the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber, probably with some assistance from his "friend" Rowan.

Predicted finish: Winner
