Backstage news on Randy Orton's future, WWE-911, NXT recruit on her new name

Orton to take a much-deserved break

- As Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns have been on a frantic lookout for a partner, but The Wyatts have been systematically destroying every possible option.

Last week on RAW, Randy Orton was ambushed by The Wyatts and was laid to waste by the towering giant Braun Strowman, who choked him out and planted him with a facebuster. It seemed that Randy would be back to get his revenge by joining the Sheild brethren, but that is not the case. From sources, the attack was orchestrated to write Orton off WWE TV, which means we wouldn’t be seeing ‘The Viper’ in action for some time.

He has stated before that he wanted a more relaxed schedule with a good amount of rest and break and by the looks of it, he has been granted the same. It can also be noted that the WWE sources have pointed out that Orton is not involved in any ongoing storyline after wrapping up his feud with Sheamus. Thus, the speculation of Orton being the mystery partner is now out of the question which continues the suspense.

- On the anniversary of the most tragic event in US history, 9/11, the WWE paid its homage by posting this tweet on twitter:

WWE remembers September 11, 2001, and honors the lives lost 14 years ago. #NeverForget pic.twitter.com/drFypG4rgf

- The new WWE NXT recruit from Japan has got a new name in Asuka. Kana would now be known as Asuka which stands for future. She posted on twitter addressing the name change. It was one of her rare English tweets. Below is the tweet:

Starting today, KANA will be known as ASUKA The name of ASUKA means future. Toward the future with those who never stop loving WWE! ASUKA
