Backstage report on the renewed interest of Vince in Cesaro

We had covered on the tide turning in favour of Cesaro with the power people backstage in the WWE, especially Vince, just before fate struck and the Swiss went down with an injury. As reported, the renewed interest in Cesaro was in keeping with an indication of an upcoming push.

Vince was said to have particularly started to take note of the capabilities of the ‘Swiss Superman’ after a match he had with Kevin Owens on RAW. That led to WWE officials feeling that it was a step in the right direction for Cesaro.

It was also noted how Vince thought very highly of the match Cesaro had against Roman Reigns on RAW, even terming it as Reigns’s best match yet, mainly due to Cesaro. The RAW episode which housed that match, closed with a contract signing segment between Charlotte and Paige.

However, Vince may have believed the match between Reigns & Cesaro would have been a better choice to close the show, given the impression it made on him. A lot of people were happy for Cesaro getting the recognition as he is generally well-liked backstage, among the boys and the creative team.
