Cena's absence and Ambrose blamed, Mysterio's new deal and Orton's WWE status update

Where’s Cena?

- Apparently, Dean Ambrose couldn't quite fill in the absence of John Cena in WWE Studios’ 12 Rounds 3: Lockdown.

According to Los Angeles Times' critic Martin Tsai, this new sequel to ‘12 rounds’ written by Bobby Lee Darby and Nathan Brookes is not as thrilling as the original. Though it’s quite an improvement over 2013 direct-to-video ‘12 Rounds 2: Reloaded,’ the standards of the original movie are not met since this lacks the firepower of John Cena.

Even though the film has Ambrose – a better choice over Randy Orton in ‘12 Rounds 2’- it still proves no match for Cena. Cena proved his acting credentials recently by stealing scenes from Amy Schumer in ‘Trainwreck’. Cena seemed natural in his role in Trainwreck and he has been getting a lot of props for his presence of mind.

- As reported earlier, Randy Orton was to be written off WWE TV for a short span as a result of being attacked by The Wyatt Family on last Monday’s RAW. Given the possibility that they were given outdated information regarding WWE’s constant change of plans, this particular story has been retracted. As of now, Orton is still scheduled for this weekend’s WWE live events and probably backstage for Monday’s RAW from Memphis.

Orton has been vocal about having a lighter schedule and his ambush and recent reports suggested he would get what he wished for , but the WWE wants one of their biggest star from the last decade to make regular appearances. The suspense of the mystery partner continues with this update

- Rey Mysterio signs his first post-WWE licensing deal with Masked Republic’s LuchaShop.com. He has been heavily linked to a WWE return, but the top brass is against the idea of having him back. He has been trying to get in the good books of the WWE officials namely Vince and Triple H, but the licensing deal suggests that something else is brewing. Below is the post:
