– When Seth Rollins emerged in the WWE scene, he had a unique finisher, the ‘Curb Stomp’. There have been different varieties of DDT’s, Powerbombs and Cutter’s used by current WWE stars as their finishers.

The one that stood out though was Rollins’ finisher. The ‘Curb Stomp’ became some sort of a cult and Rollins used the same to take the title at Wrestlemania. Shortly after Wrestlemania the finisher was banned, but Rob Van Dam, who has taken a few of those revealed that it could’ve been banned sooner rather than later.

Fearing concussion lawsuits, the WWE decided to ban the move long before Wrestlemania, but RVD took it so well that for a temporary period the WWE were convinced and allowed Rollins to use the finisher. RVD revealed this on a periscope that the move was about to be banned, but he took it so well that the WWE felt it was great. Rollins was allowed to use the move but later the WWE revealed that the move was “On Hold”.

It may be seen as a dangerous move as it is easy to do and kids may recreate it watching their stars perform it week in and week out on TV. Seth Rollins finally closed the whole speculation when he revealed to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that he would not be using the ‘Curb Stomp’ and rather have Pedigree as his regular finisher.
