From the WWE Rumor Mill: Stipulation to be added to the title match between Jinder Mahal and AJ Styles

What’s the story?

With WWE announcing a WWE Title match between Jinder Mahal and AJ Styles for next week's Smackdown Live, it seems like that the two men might get a certain stipulation for their title match in Manchester this coming Tuesday.

In case you didn’t know…

Earlier this week, Smackdown Live commissioner Shane McMahon confirmed that AJ Styles will go toe-to-toe with “The Modern Day Maharaja” next week on Smackdown Live. According to Shane, the match was booked due to Mahal and The Singh Brothers brutally attacking AJ Styles this week on Smackdown.

Styles has recently gotten into a feud with Mahal as “The Phenomenal One” claims that the current WWE World Champion has never defeated him in singles action before and stated that he is coming for the WWE Title.

The former WWE Champion got his wish earlier this week, as Shane O’Mac confirmed that Mahal will indeed defend the title against Styles next week.

The heart of the matter

With a title match booked for next week between AJ and Jinder, it apparently seems like there could be a possible stipulation added to the mix. The Manchester Arena is now currently advertising the title match for next week as a street fight.

But, however, as of right now, WWE is yet to officially announce a stipulation for the contest but if they do then chances are that Jinder’s allies, the Singh Brothers, will eventually get involved in the match and might even cost Styles the championship.

What’s next?

Both Mahal and Styles will now look to focus on their mega title match next week on Smackdown Live, in the UK.

But for “The Modern Day Maharaja” he also has to keep an eye out for “The Beast” Brock Lesnar, whom Mahal will face at this year’s Survivor Series if he manages to retain the belt against AJ this Tuesday.

However, Jinder remains pretty confident of the fact that he is going to beat both Styles and Lesnar this month, and is looking forward to cementing his legacy as the WWE Champion.

Author’s Take

I would like to see a stipulation being involved in this title bout because a stipulation always makes a match a lot more fun to watch.

But, if the two men square off in a street fight then chances are that Styles may not be able to dethrone Mahal and “The Maharaja” might walk out of Manchester still as the reigning champion.
