Huge backstage update on possible change of plans for the WWE title, surprises in store?

Are we in for a major swerve?

Come Sunday and we would have ourselves a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion and the culmination, of what has been a very entertaining tournament.

Earlier reports indicated Roman Reigns being the all out favourite to win the belt at Survivor Series, but that may not be what WWE has planned as of now.

According to reports coming in from PWInsider.com, the WWE Creative is heavily in favour of letting Dean Ambrose win the final and walk out of Survivor Series with the belt around his waist.

The WWE seems to believe that Ambrose has been toiling hard for some time now, and it’s finally the time to give him a much-deserved run with the top prize.

Since the time Seth Rollins got sidelined due to an unfortunate injury, speculations were running rampant about Roman Reigns being WWE’s next anointed champion. Reigns was said to have been booked to win the title even before Rollins got injured and carry the title until WrestleMania 32.

All of those plans got derailed, and now the creative think tank has possibly zeroed in on Ambrose to be the next star to carry the belt.

Backstage reports point to Ambrose and Reigns locking horns in the final, but with Reigns not guaranteed to win anymore, expect a major possible surprise. It would surely come as a major swerve, if WWE does book Ambrose to win, considering the fact that they have been building up Reigns to win the belt over the past few weeks.

At the end of the day, however, Vince McMahon’s final word would be what the Creative abide by. When it comes to the possible heel and face turns for the pay-per-view, Reigns is most likely not going to turn heel.

It gets interesting when it comes to Ambrose, though, because if he is indeed going to be walking out of Survivor Series as the new champion, a heel turn might very well be around the corner. Would you like to see Dean Ambrose as the next WWE Champion? If yes, should he be a heel or a face champion?
