John Cena and Nikki Bella win at WrestleMania 33; Cena proposes to Nikki

The battle of the power couples

After Al Roker introduced both the couples and the couples’ long entrances, the action finally began with the two women kicking things off. The second Nikki attempted to charge her, Maryse tagged Miz in. He then proceeded to stands the top of the turnbuckles twice to excellent crowd reaction. Miz then rolled out of the ring but ran back in when John chased him down. As Cena re-entered the ring he was greeted by stomps to the face.

Miz then slowly began to take control and threw Cena from corner to corner, until he slammed John with a hard clothesline in the corner. He then dived from the third rope and hit Cena with an elbow. The Miz then solidified his advantage by kicking Cena as he sat helplessly in the middle of the ring.

He then looks to slam Cena in the corner but the 16-time Champ evaded it just in time and was about to tag Nikki in until Maryse pulled her off the apron. This left Cena without anyone to tag him in and Miz was back in control.

Miz then reversed an AA into a snap-DDT for the 2-count. He then went on to showboat in front of the crowd and was subsequently slapped by Nikki. As Miz rolled out of the ring, Cena tagged Nikki in and she went on to hit a suicide dive on the Awesome One.

Cena and Bella then seemed to be in complete control as they hit their opponents with a 5-knuckle shuffle, followed by an AA and Rack Attack 2.0 simultaneously. The couple then went for the cover simultaneously to win the fight.

Winner: Cena and Nikki

Cena took the mic and then spoke about how he told Nikki he was going to marry her someday when she was in the hospital. He then dropped down on one knee and presented her a wedding ring. The couple kissed and embraced after Nikki put the ring on her finger.
