At the TNA Impact Wrestling tapings last night, former TNA World champion Kurt Angle made a major announcement that he will be taking some time off from the company as he will be requiring a surgery due to a tumor on his neck.

However, it hasn’t been confirmed whether the injury is a part of the storyline or not but Ethan Carter III did come out and cut a promo where he credited himself for causing the tumor on his neck. The current World champion who won the title from Angle last Wednesday attacked Angle until Chris Melendez made the save.

Before Angle made the announcement, he did mention that he will get his rematch against EC3 sometime in the future but gave the impression it could be a while.
