My character generates $100 million annually for the company, says John Cena

WWE Superstar John Cena has said that his character generates a whopping amount of $100 million annually for the company and added that he will walk away from wrestling when he feels that he can’t compete with the youngsters anymore.

“A lot of these athletes that are married to their sport think this is going to last forever. Then they blow out an ACL, they look around when they’re 35 or 36 and their career is coming to an end and they act like the income stream is going to continue,” Cena told in an interview with FOX Business.

The WWE champion also said that JBL was instrumental in his rise as a top star in the business.

“He’s one of the few people that as I was coming up and trying to make a name for myself, he actually believed in me. He’d say, ‘the kid’s got something,’ and everyone else would say, ‘no way.’ And here we are years later,” Cena added.
