CM Punk has shared a heartfelt reaction to a photo with a major WWE Superstar. The 45-year-old is still out of action after suffering a torn tricep during the Men's Royal Rumble match earlier this year.

The former AEW World Champion returned to WWE at Survivor Series 2023. Randy Orton returned from injury on the same night and competed in the Men's WarGames match. The Viper shared an image on Instagram a few weeks ago with his wife, and CM Punk photobombed them. He referred to the veteran as "#photobombphil" in the post seen below.

Punk took to his Instagram story today to react to Orton's post. He shared the same image but added a Smiling face with a heart emoji as well. You can check out the image on his Instagram story by clicking here.

WWE official shares CM Punk's return to company brought a tear to his eye

Legendary WWE referee Charles Robinson recently shared that he got emotional during CM Punk's return to the promotion.

The controversial star was fired by All Elite Wrestling last August following a backstage altercation with Jack Perry. AEW decided to air the footage of the incident ahead of Jack Perry's return to the company last month.

Speaking with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter in an exclusive interview, Charles Robinson shared his reaction to Punk's return at Survivor Series 2023. He noted that Punk is one of his favorites and was excited to have him back in the company.

"Well, for me personally CM Punk is one of my favorite guys, so I was very, very excited when he came back, you know? Had a tear in my eye. Why? Because I love CM Punk as a person. Period," said Robinson. [From 03:32 – 03:46]
