EC3 wants WWE to bring back Randy Orton as a babyface and believes he could even dethrone Roman Reigns as the Undisputed Universal Champion.

As per recent reports, The Viper is finally inching closer to his much-anticipated WWE return. The 43-year-old was last seen on the promotion's programming in May 2022 and has since been recuperating from a back injury.

One of the biggest matches fans hope becomes a reality is Orton challenging The Tribal Chief for his Undisputed Universal Title. On Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, EC3 said that WWE must bring back Randy Orton as a babyface as he garnered massive reactions from the crowd before his absence.

The NWA World Heavyweight Champion feels The Viper was so popular with the viewers that he was a viable contender to end Reigns' time at the top of the card.

"Yeah, no one's gonna boo him [Randy Orton] when he comes back. So bring him back a face. Have him in a long-term, fulfilling program with Roman Reigns. Is he the guy to beat him? I mean, he's already over. Like if somebody could, it could be him," said EC3. [3:11 - 3:24]

Eric Bischoff says Cody Rhodes will dethrone Roman Reigns as the Undisputed Universal Champion

On a recent episode of the 100% Wrestling Podcast, Eric Bischoff shared his view on who would finally take the Undisputed Universal Title from Roman Reigns. Bischoff explained that it's only a matter of time before WWE puts The American Nightmare back in contention to face Reigns at WrestleMania 40.

"I suspect that's about the time that you're gonna see a renewed emphasis on The Bloodline storyline. And I think going into that Bloodline storyline, Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns will become a more prominent part of the storytelling. And ultimately, that's what I expect to see. I hope to see at WrestleMania. I don't have any inside information, but that's what I think will happen, and I hope, and I think that Cody Rhodes will come out victorious, and that will be the end of the Cody Rhodes journey as it relates to his return to WWE."

Roman Reigns is currently gearing up to defend his gold against LA Knight at Crown Jewel 2023 on November 4. The two would have a contract-signing segment on this week's episode of SmackDown.
