Welcome to another edition of SK Wrestling's daily WWE news & rumor round-up. Survivor Series is just around the corner, and we have a few interesting stories in store for you.

It's been 25 years since The Rock's first pay-per-view match at Survivor Series 1996, and Roman Reigns is open to having a dream match with The People's Champion. WWE's also put out some Rock-related content over the past week.

With a hint of real-life animosity involved in the build-up, Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch appears to be the most anticipated match at this year's Survivor Series. The Irish star went back and forth with Ric Flair, who made a bold proclamation on his podcast.

With that being said, let's dive into today's news and rumor round-up.

#5. WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is open to a dream match with The Rock

Roman Reigns recently made a high-profile appearance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. He touched on a variety of topics and was asked about the possibility of a dream match with The Rock. Reigns said he was open to having a match with the Fast and Furious star:

"I would, yes! I don't know if he wants it, but that's kind of something we do in our family as far as Sports Entertainment, professional wrestling, WWE. This is our platform. This is our family business. I fought one of my cousins, The Usos, Jey Uso, you know, about a year ago, and where better to solve problems than in the squared circle, you know, in the WWE ring."

However, Reigns also poured cold water on rumors suggesting that The Rock could return at Survivor Series:

"These are rumors, you're saying? I have not heard these rumors, and I would think I'm closer than anybody at this point. So, I don't know; it's not what I've heard. I also debuted at Survivor Series as well, so there is a nice little tie-in there. But, I don't know."

#4. Becky Lynch fires a salvo at WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair

On the latest episode of WWE RAW, Becky Lynch sent a scathing message to Charlotte Flair ahead of their highly-anticipated clash at Survivor Series. The Queen's father, Ric Flair, sent out a tweet in response to the powerful promo, claiming there wasn't enough "choreography in the business" to save the Irish star.

Lynch fired back at the legend during an appearance on The MMA Hour and said Flair was only bringing up her name to stay relevant:

"Look, I saw that tweet. The one that you’re referring to. The one that I’m kind of referring to and I looked at it and I wrote out a response that would have been quite biting and I deleted it and I let it go because I think it’s really sad because this is a legend at one point. This legend, a 16-time world champion Ric Flair is now jealous of me. It’s cool for me. And is now trying to use me to get clout to promote whatever he has going on next because he’s dug himself into a hole with other things. So I kind of was just like, ah let me let him out of it because it’s kind of sad. It’s kind of sad."

#3. Becky Lynch shares her thoughts on AEW

During her appearance on The MMA Hour, Ariel Helwani asked Becky Lynch about the state of the professional wrestling industry today and AEW in particular. Lynch admitted to watching AEW and called it an alternative to the WWE product:

I watch everything. Competition is great. It’s great for the creative because I think it drives everybody. I think Vince McMahon works incredibly well when he’s pushed by competition. I think for the stars it gives options. If you don’t like vanilla, you can go with chocolate. If you don’t like strawberries, you can go with butterscotch. There’s options for fans, for wrestlers, and yeah it’s great.” (H/T Wrestlingnews.co)

#2. WWE Champion Big E reaffirms his desire to retire Goldberg

WWE Champion Big E was a big professional wrestling fan in his youth and grew up idolizing Goldberg. Before he won the title, The New Day man stated that he would like to retire Goldberg during an interview with Hot 97.

In a more recent interview with RN Pro Wrestling, Big E revealed that those comments didn't go down well with the WCW legend. However, he reaffirmed his desire to be the man to end Goldberg's in-ring career:

"When I cut that nonsensical promo, the likelihood to me was like 2.5% tops. But now that I hold this dearly beloved WWE Championship, it's all possible. I would like to see that happen; that would be incredible. Imagine Goldberg's last match [against me]," stated Big E.

#1. Bobby Lashley reveals why he hasn't faced Brock Lesnar

A section of the WWE fanbase has fantasized about the dream match between Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar. There were reportedly plans in place for the two behemoths to finally square off, but it didn't materialize.

During a recent interview with Josh Martinez, Lashley revealed why he never got his big match with Lesnar:

“Because the people around him don’t want to make it happen. I’m always prepared. I am in my final run, I have a few years left, but I am open for anything. I train, I’m always in shape, I’m always ready to go. So, it’s never something where you have to call me up and you have to wait months and weeks, I am ready to go right now."
