WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin recently responded to questions about competing inside the squared circle once more in the Stamford-based promotion.

Steve Austin started his career with World Wrestling Entertainment in 1995 and quickly became one of the biggest names in the pro wrestling world. The Texas Rattlesnake won several titles and feuded with some of the biggest names including The Rock. The duo locked horns at WrestleMania 19, which was Stone Cold's last match before announcing his retirement from professional wrestling.

However, Stone Cold Steve Austin made several appearances after that in WWE and even returned to the ring at WrestleMania 38 against Kevin Owens, after the latter talked trash about the veteran's native, Texas.

During a recent A&E WWE Legends Biography, Steve Austin was asked about having one more match in World Wrestling Entertainment. The Texas Rattlesnake said that he was pretty happy with his pro wrestling career. The 59-year-old also mentioned that he did not have anything to prove to anyone.

"I walked away. I'm happy with what I did. There's people who've done more, [and] lasted longer. I had a pretty good run, I'm pretty happy with it. So, I ain't got nothing to prove to nobody," he said.

WWE Hall of Famer said Stone Cold Steve Austin would have fit perfectly at WrestleMania XL

During a recent edition of his Grilling JR podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross said that money could have been the reason behind Stone Cold Steve Austin's absence from WrestleMania XL.

Ross also mentioned that he believed Steve Austin would have fitted perfectly at the Show of Shows during Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes.

"I haven't talked to Steve in several weeks, but I'm assuming that, if I was guessing, and that's all it would be right now, as I sit here in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, I would say that cash had a major role in why Austin was not at WrestleMania this year. Because there was a spot there at the end where all those guys were getting their flowers, their props, their attaboys, and getting their stuff over et cetera, et cetera that would have fit Steve perfectly," said Ross.

Many fans want Stone Cold Steve Austin to show up and have one more match against The Rock. It will be interesting to see what The Texas Rattlesnake has planned for his future in professional wrestling.
