Triple H has revealed a few important details about the next NXT TakeOver event on social media.
In case you didn’t Know...
NXT TakeOver is a special event held by WWE’s NXT brand that is streamed live on the WWE Network and is treated on par with PPV events for the brand’s main-roster.

The previous TakeOver show featured an NXT championship match between Bobby Roode and Shinsuke Nakamura and was held on April 1st at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.
The heart of the matter:
Addressing the WWE Universe, the King of Kings stated that the next NXT TakeOver event will be held at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois on May 20th 2017. Fans who wish to attend the event can buy tickets starting 10 AM CT this Saturday onwards.
Furthermore, he emphasised that the NXT brand’s special Live Event will be held one night prior to WWE Backlash, which is a Pay-Per-View event for WWE’s SmackDown brand.
What’s next?
NXT TakeOver: Chicago will take place on May 20th at the Allstate Arena in Chicago Illinois, one night prior to WWE Backlash that will be held on May 21st.
The main event of TakeOver: Chicago hasn’t been confirmed as of yet.

After impressing fans time and again with jaw-dropping performances featuring an excellent mix of blue-chip prospects as well as wily veterans (Yes, I’m a Bobby Roode fan damn it!), NXT TakeOver will ‘take over’ (pun intended) Chicago, come May 20th.
Now mind you, this event will take place in Chicago, the hometown of You-Know-Who, and apart from awesome performances from our favourite NXT stars, we can also expect the undying Cult of Personality fans to rain down CM Punk chants at the Allstate Arena.
Besides, what better way to hype the crowd up for Backlash, which by the way will also be held just a few miles away in Rosemont, Illinois, than holding a TakeOver show in the very same state? It’s Payback Backlash season folks!
