Opinion: WWE Will Be In Trouble If They Unify The Men's Titles

Should WWE unify the titles?
Should WWE unify the titles?

Why WWE?

One night after winning their respective championship matches at WrestleMania 35, Seth Rollins and Kofi Kingston have decided to do battle to determine who is the undisputed champion of WWE.

Not only was the moment a huge surprise for The WWE Universe, but it also came only one night after the company unified the women's title.

Even more interesting, it comes only a week before the superstar shakeup, which is the event that determines who goes to RAW and who goes to Smackdown Live With that being said, however, it seems like the company's plan to unify the men's titles would effectively render the whole thing meaningless.

Seriously though! WWE now has to decide who walks out of Raw the undisputed champion and virtually end the dreams of the other one night after their win.

Beyond that, they also have to decide whether or not to keep the brand split going or leave one show without a title. In all honesty, no matter how WWE plays this, they are going to be screwed!

Unfortunately for WWE, the decisions only get tougher once you get down to the nitty-gritty of things.

Think about it! WWE also has to decide whether to take the belt off of Kingston only one night after claiming his first world title or take the belt off of Seth Rollins and pretty much kill his white-hot momentum.

Again, WWE is going to face an uphill battle either way and it is astounding that WWE would even make a decision like this.

While it might have worked for the women's division, especially since it would have given Fox Sports access to the entire women's roster, doing the same for the men doesn't make it as special.

And let's say WWE doesn't do it. Let's say they do a finish that makes neither man the clear winner or has Brock Lesnar interrupt the festivities.

In the end, WWE either has to give Lesnar another title shot and void the unification entirely idea entirely or make it their main event heading into money in the back and render the brand split meaningless.

It's not looking good here folks!
