RAW Preview - Massive singles debut, Injured WWE Superstar returns for a major Championship contest, Major Alexa Bliss clash

What is Jinder Mahal up to with Drew McIntyre's sword?
What is Jinder Mahal up to with Drew McIntyre's sword?

Listen, RAW has really gone the extra mile to promote this week's packed lineup. One has to assume that after last week's record-low viewership figures, alarm bells must have gone off somewhere.

So yes, the WWE RAW lineup this week has been advertised and then some. It's quite a formidable wrestling card but as we've seen in the past, people stay for characters and storylines.

In any case, here is your RAW preview for the coming week. Be sure to leave a comment and let us know your thoughts and views.

#5 RAW Superstar makes his singles debut against a formidable opponent

Erik is no small man but at the same time, Omos is in a league of his own. The giant makes his singles debut on RAW this week as he goes up against one-half of one of the most formidable tag teams in the entire company.

The Viking Raiders usually overpower their opponents but in this case, Erik may be coming in as the clear underdog.

AJ Styles will go up against Ivar on RAW this week as well, and on this occasion, he goes in as the smaller man. Ivar is a powerhouse but he is as athletic as anyone in the wrestling business as well. Styles will have to reach deep into his arsenal to figure out a way to stop this mighty tag team.

The WWE RAW Tag Team Championship picture is not very strong right now, because the titles almost feel like an afterthought.

Sure, the titles have been represented better than the SmackDown equivalent for sure, but it's still not nearly enough.

Hopefully, once this feud is done other teams like The Lucha House Party, RK-Bro and RETRIBUTION will also step up soon.

#4 Will Drew McIntyre get his precious sword back from Jinder Mahal?

Last week's episode of RAW saw Drew McIntyre brag about how his sword was made from the tooth of the Loch Ness Monster. Jinder Mahal, a collector of antiquities, stole the sword with his henchmen during the course of the broadcast.

One has to assume that McIntyre will try to get his heirloom back on RAW this week. In the process of doing so, he has to take on not one, not two, but three big men!

#3 A massive RAW rematch to take place this week

Falls Count Anywhere between two of the biggest risk-takers in WWE? Let’s go.

This is how the contest has been advertised in the RAW preview on WWE.com.

Honestly, that's all the advertising the match needs.

Their contest from two weeks ago was simply exceptional and the one last week was fine, but not as good as the one the week prior.

So now the RAW think-tank has added a Falls Count stipulation which should only make the match even more exciting.

#2 Alexa Bliss competes in a massive Fatal Fourway match this week

Alexa Bliss will be in a massive fatal four-way contest on RAW, taking on Naomi, Asuka, and her former tag team partner, Nikki Cross. Yes, Cross will be donning her brand new superheroine persona better known as Nikki A.S.H. Catch her own husband, former WWE superstar Killian Dain, speaking about it in the video linked above.

#1 Sheamus returns to RAW for a clash against a deadly opponent

Yes, the United States Champion Sheamus has been away nursing a legitimate injury. This week, he makes a return to RAW to defend the title he so proudly holds against Humberto Carrillo.

While a title change is indeed unlikely on this week's show, we have to remember that WWE has to take bold steps to shake the product up. Why should anyone catch the action on RAW if the outcome is already known?

Do you think that a new WWE United States Champion will be crowned on RAW this week? Is the young man Humberto Carillo ready for such a massive responsibility yet?
