RAW Preview: Reigns to reunite faction, MITB cash-in confirmed (June 3rd, 2019)

It's the first RAW of June, the second half of the year. While the product as a whole has been sub-par at best this year, there have been quite a few good moments. Last week on RAW, Brock Lesnar discovered that he had one full year to cash in his contract.

Seth Rollins and Kofi Kingston kept urging him to do otherwise, and Lesnar being Lesnar, didn't seem to care as much. If anything, he was marking out over his own MITB beatbox and the "Brock Party" that he brings.

Other than that, Rollins defeated Sami Zayn in a solid main event. Baron Corbin was confirmed as the #1 contender for the Universal Championship at Saudi Arabia after winning a Fatal-4-Way match.

Shane McMahon played mind games when he defeated Lance Anoa'i and prompted Roman Reigns to come for the save. The Women's Tag Team Champions The IIconics were defeated by Becky Lynch & Nikki Cross, while Ricochet got his revenge on Cesaro.

Rey Mysterio also announced that he would vacate the title. Here's what you need to look forward to on RAW tonight!

#5. The Undertaker returns

The Undertaker is back!
The Undertaker is back!

The Undertaker is back for the first time since the RAW after WrestleMania 35. He's returning to address his opponent this Friday at Jeddah - Goldberg. Unfortunately, it seems like we won't be getting a face-to-face interaction with the two on RAW, though it would make for some decent television.

Goldberg is advertised for SmackDown and will have a speech of his own over there. Either way, we can expect a pretty generic Undertaker appearance, where he vows to dig holes and take souls and all that jazz.

We do sincerely hope that we get a Goldberg surprise appearance, but we're not counting on it. WWE has to capitalize on announcements beforehand, after all.

#4. Roman Reigns reunites the Bloodline

Remember the 2016 faction The Bloodline? If you forgot, we certainly don't blame you, but here is a recollection - After WrestleMania 32, Roman Reigns feuded against AJ Styles, who was the #1 contender for Reigns' WWE title.

Due to the involvement of the newly-debuted Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows, aka, The Club, They targetted The Usos and inevitably, The Club's path would cross with Reigns, who sought the help of his cousins Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso. Together, they called themselves The Bloodline.

They were a brief faction and disbanded after he beat Styles twice. Tonight, Reigns reunites with his cousin brothers as The Bloodline takes on Drew McIntyre and The Revival. With McIntyre being Shane McMahon's lackey, will The Prodigal Son make his appearance during the six-man tag team match? We certainly believe he will.

#3. Lacey Evans hunts for the title partner-less

Lacey Evans lost to RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch clean at Money In The Bank, but that doesn't mean her title chase was over. If anything, it was just the start. While the attitude helped, so did her alliance with Charlotte Flair, the most decorated woman in WWE history.

Her alliance proved fruitful on multiple occasions, but on SmackDown, she was handily defeated by SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley. After the match, Evans and Flair (who was on commentary, not dressed to compete) turned on each other and brawled until the referees seperated them.

Bayley naturally looked to the ring, amused at the sight of two rivals imploding. Now, Evans has to challenge on RAW and go after the RAW Women's Championship. This time, the numbers game doesn't favour her as Nikki Cross seems to have aligned with the RAW Women's Champion.

Will Evans find a way?

#2. Rey Mysterio vacates the United States title

Mysterio's reign ended before it started
Mysterio's reign ended before it started

Rey Mysterio got sweet revenge at Money in the Bank when he defeated Samoa Joe in under two minutes to become United States Champion. He called his WrestleMania defeat to Samoa Joe (in under a minute), "the most humiliating loss" of his career.

It must have been satisfying to win the title, but he was immediately on the receiving end of a Samoa Joe beatdown - and we all know how that ends. Unfortunately, apart from just the fact that Joe's shoulders were clearly up when he got pinned, Rey Mysterio revealed that he suffered a seperated shoulder in the post-match beatdown.

As a result, he'll be coming out to vacate the United States Championship this week. Samoa Joe was naturally more than happy and he will expect to be crowned the new champion again.

Unfortunately for Joe, it doesn't work that way. We could either see a new champion as soon as tonight or a match for Jeddah to crown a new champion.

#1. Brock Lesnar to cash in the MITB briefcase

Brock Party!
Brock Party!

Last week, Brock Lesnar realized that he has a full year to cash in his briefcase. He said that he would do it whenever he wanted to, but Stephanie McMahon put out a message on behalf of WWE that not only were they against his actions, but they "condemned" it.

They didn't seem to like the fact that he was disrespecting the briefcase by walking around with it like a beatbox (though that didn't stop them from making and releasing the Brock Party shirt) and threatened serious action against Lesnar and Paul Heyman. You can watch the clip below:

Paul Heyman seemingly responded to the pressure, stating that he will cash in the MITB briefcase tonight on RAW.

Basically, Lesnar's MITB contract cash in has been confirmed. Does this mean that he will cash it in? Absolutely not. But one thing is for sure, things are going to get interesting!
