RAW Preview: SummerSlam main event revealed, 4-time champion to return after 3 months?

The Beast's era...again
The Beast's era...again

Monday Night RAW is just around the corner and what an Extreme Rules PPV it was. We could discuss all the Fallouts, but that would be getting into it too much. All we know is that it was excellent PPV and there were multiple superstars who thrived in a big way.

Whether or not it's the Paul Heyman effect, we don't know. But one thing we do know is that Paul Heyman was not a liar last night. He said that Brock Lesnar would be cashing in his MITB briefcase, and it wasn't a prediction - it was a spoiler.

Brock Lesnar ended the night as WWE Universal Champion for the third time and with that, we begin the road to WWE SummerSlam 2019. Things are going to heat up and get even more exciting as WWE builds to the second biggest PPV of the year. Here's what you need to look forward to.

#5. Will Ricochet strike back?

One and only
One and only

Ricochet suffered a pretty devastating defeat at WWE Extreme Rules 2019 when he lost to The Phenomenal AJ Styles in his second defense of the United States Championship. As a result of his un-clean victory, Styles is now a 3-time United States Champion.

One thing we know for sure is that this rivalry is far from over. If anything, it's only going to get more intense and we can fully expect Ricochet to come back with all guns blazing.

The only problem is this: Who does Ricochet need to neutralize the numbers game that Gallows & Anderson provide for AJ Styles? It's certainly going to be interesting to see but Ricochet undoubtedly has the odds stacked against his favour.

How will he manage to make the comeback? Will he secure a SummerSlam title match?

#4. What's next for Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross?

Frustration
Frustration

Nikki Cross did all the work when it came to getting Alexa Bliss the SmackDown Women's title shot at WWE Extreme Rules 2019. Her efforts were so much so that she ended up getting inserted into the match herself, making it a 2-on-1 handicap match.

While the plan was for the duo to win the title and become "Co-SmackDown Women's Champions" (the first-ever at that), their plans went awry as Bayley continued her huge run of form.

The resurrection of Bayley's career has undoubtedly been one of the most fascinating ones in 2019 and has lowkey been one of the best stories. As it turns out, she's just on another level right now and even Nikki Cross' hot streak wasn't enough as she got pinned following an elbow drop by the champion.

With the duo being clearly out of title contention, will Alexa Bliss turn on Nikki Cross now that they don't have a title opportunity?

#3. Is something brewing between The Undertaker and Drew McIntyre?

Drew McIntyre showed no fear
Drew McIntyre showed no fear

We have to give credit where credit is due to Drew McIntyre. Not only did he step up to the challenge of facing The Undertaker - but he showed no fear in doing so. If anything, it was Shane McMahon who showed how much of a coward he is, using The Scottish Psychopath as his shield against The Phenom.

McIntyre had a very tense staredown with The Undertaker and it even looked as though he was a moment away from putting him away for good. The Undertaker isn't his old self, so one Claymore kick would easily have put him away.

Luckily, Roman Reigns saved the day for The Undertaker, as the two managed to pin Shane McMahon to pick up the victory. Defeated but not yet out, will Drew McIntyre issue a SummerSlam challenge to The Undertaker?

#2. The Man looks for a new challenge

The Man!
The Man!

Becky Lynch's night may not have ended the way she would have wanted it to, but she can still hold her head high as RAW Women's Champion. Not only that, but she has officially put Lacey Evans behind her.

Her match at Extreme Rules ended for her when Baron Corbin shockingly hit The End of Days on her. An infuriated Seth Rollins took out Corbin, but his night ended horribly as he lost the Universal title to Brock Lesnar after his MITB cash-in.

With her tag team match over, Becky Lynch now looks forward to her next big challenge. Lacey Evans has been her only rival between WrestleMania and SummerSlam, so it makes sense that she finally gets a new opponent. The only question is as to who will step up to the plate.

Given that she has been out of action for so long, 4-time Women's champion Sasha Banks could make her return and re-enter the title picture right off the bat.

#1. Brock Lesnar reigns supreme...again

And again
And again

For the third time in his career, Brock Lesnar heard the words "And NEW Universal Champion" in favour of himself. After a lot of teasing and a couple of failed attempts, Brock Lesnar finally cashed in his MITB briefcase, doing exactly as Paul Heyman said he would.

There were no shenanigans and no antics this time around. One suplex and one F-5 was enough to secure Lesnar his third Universal title and end the 2-year streak where the Men's MITB winner failed to cash in the briefcase.

Now that we're in the Lesnar era again, the unhappiest man in the world is Seth Rollins. After working so hard to dethrone him at WrestleMania 35, he has to go back to the drawing board. Expect the SummerSlam main event between Lesnar and Rollins to be announced as soon as tonight. It's going to be an interesting show.
