Randal Keith Orton or Randy’s knock out, we can call it whatever we want, but the enthrallment that comes with it is beyond words.

One of the most decorated stars in WWE history, Randy Orton has an arsenal filled with some top-notch moves. But there is one, his Excalibur, RKO, which stays atop all.

This move has been with him since the dawn of his amazing wrestling career and slowly developed with him turning more lethal with time.

Orton has been on a path of destruction throughout his career. From the days of the Legend Killer to the Apex Predator days to the recently rediscovered vicious side, Randy Orton has been portrayed as a sadistic heel. The villain who is more likely to tell a story in a physical way than cutting promos.

All that viciousness needed was a move that was so apt, so striking and so sudden that it became a legend in its own right.

The legend of RKO stands tall, even taller than some great stars that ever-put foot in WWE.

It is a variant of Diamond Dallas page’s Diamond Cutter and distant cousin of Stone Cold’s celebrated Stunner. But it has stood in its own ground. Owing to Orton’s buildup to the move and the suddenness with which he strikes his opponents, it has become a piece of art. He has turned the usual Jumping Cutter into a thing of beauty.

Whether the RKO on Seth Rollins in the midst of a Curb Stomp or the famous RKO on Evan Bourne’s shooting Star Press, or the recent one on Rey Mysterio where he attacked within an inch of a second through little space in between Rey’s sliding slam, the reaction time and the perfection are only becoming perfect.

The legend of the Viper has survived the course of time and still going strong with the stories of striking out of nowhere. Even the internet has a vast set of memes of Orton giving RKOs to people around the world which are not only hilarious but also telling about the popularity of this very move.

RKO has been born and bred by Orton into something which will still be praised for ages for simply the beauty with which it strikes. It has turned into more of a phenomenon itself.
