Vince McMahon is known for having an iron fist when it comes to running WWE exactly how he sees fit. Although that has had to change recently, the chairman's grip over the company has been complete over the past few years. According to a report, there were certain stars McMahon didn't want to use, and thus, they were not featured on shows at all.

Since the Endeavor takeover, Triple H was given control of the creative decisions in WWE, whereas before, McMahon had held on to the right to oversee them. Since his return, although the 78-year-old was not physically present, he would still make changes remotely.

According to the report by Fightful Select, Vince McMahon didn't interact directly with the creative team, so they didn't interact with him due to the remote way he was making the changes. However, while the changes he made looked minimal, in many ways, they were not nominal. Several stars were not used because McMahon didn't want to use them. Thus, the creative team didn't come up with anything for them.

The report also stated that the changes had opened up the roster.

As a result, the report appears to indicate that Vince McMahon had effectively banned stars from being used by simply not wanting them used. Those same performers are now getting more chances with Triple H in charge.
