The show began with Renee Young and Daniel Bryan sending Jim Ross their condolences. The former WWE commentator's wife, Jan passed away this past weekend due to a vehicular accident.
They two spoke about WrestleMania. Bryan spoke about how it was weird being in a position of power because he had to worry about presenting a product, rather than focus on a match. Bryan said that he was not worried about competing with RAW.
AJ Styles
AJ Styles said that he was confident about wrestling Shane McMahon. He announced that he was going to destroy Shane McMahon. He asked Daniel, why he suggested that shake hands.
Daniel explained that he wanted them to wait until ‘Mania. He added that he just wanted to maintain peace between the two until ‘Mania. Styles felt that he held the advantage over Shane.
Renee Young informed Styles that Shane has a lot of moves in his arsenal. Styles said he doesn't care at all about all such things because he's a winner and winners always find a way to win.
Styles promised that he was going to humiliate Shane. Styles also said that he should've been in the main event of ‘Mania fighting for the World Title. He talked about how he's still not been given his one-on-one rematch for the World Title.
After Styles left the set, Renee, spoke about the rivalry between The Miz and John Cena. Daniel revealed that it had been difficult for him to stay neutral during the entirety of this feud.
Although The Miz had been harassing Daniel since months, Daniel took the Miz's side and said that if John had said all those things to Brie Bella instead of Maryse, he would've punched Cena instantly.
Naomi
Tonight on SmackDown Naomi made her comeback. Naomi said that she feels great. They showed Naomi, the clip of her relinquishing the Women's title. After watching the clip, Naomi immediately started ranting about how she was on cloud nine but had everything taken away from her without any warning.
Naomi calmed down and said that she was happy to be back.
She said it had been particularly difficult for her to see Alexa talk smack in the ring wearing her title. Naomi understood that what lay ahead of her this coming Sunday was going to be difficult, but she resolved to win the title back at Mania, in her hometown.
After Naomi left, Daniel, said that he was happy Naomi was back. He feared James Ellsworth might interfere and allow Carmella to take the win.
Baron Corbin
After finishing their discussion about the Women's Title match, the hosts watched a recap of the interview between James Ellsworth and Baron Corbin. Corbin, visibly upset, said that he was infuriated by the fact that Ambrose didn't take him seriously.
Corbin claimed that he's the guy the company will be built around in the coming years. He announced that he was going to leave WrestleMania 2-0 with the Intercontinental Championship
Bryan found it interesting that Corbin said he was the future and not the present of the company. Bryan believed that Ambrose was the present of the company and he will put up a fight against Corbin at Mania.
