The Shield's Final Chapter: 5 Shockers that can happen on the WWE Network Special

Is it really the Last Chapter?
Is it really the Last Chapter?

After months and months of speculations, reports, and theories, Dean Ambrose is finally all set to leave WWE after his last ride this Sunday with his brothers, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns in what is being called The Shield's Last Chapter, exclusively on the WWE Network.

The Shield has been one of the best trios WWE Universe has ever witnessed. Debuting back at Survivor Series 2012, this group of 3 young men took the main roster by storm as they went on to decimate each and every superstar on their way, not even leaving legends like The Undertaker, The Rock, and many more.

After their infamous break-up in 2014, thanks to a Seth Rollins heel turn, the trio has come back together a couple of times in the last few years. With all of them being top babyfaces, fans would surely miss The Shield once Ambrose actually leaves.

The Shield's Last Chapter is sure to be full of emotions, but will there be more than just a final happy ending goodbye to one of the most decorated factions in the history of WWE? I definitely feel so!

In this article, let's take a look at the 5 Shocking things that can take place at The Shield's Final Chapter, scheduled to be aired this Sunday, April 21st, on the WWE Network.

#5 Ambrose gets a huge farewell with the whole WWE Locker Room on the stage

Ambrose is already getting a never-seen-before farewell!
Ambrose is already getting a never-seen-before farewell!

The whole Dean Ambrose leaving WWE situation and this grand farewell thing is something no one expected when the news of the Lunatic Fringe leaving the company broke out.

WWE even took it to their own Social Media to confirm that Ambrose will actually be leaving the company after his contract expires, something they haven't ever done before.

No Superstar who has left the company previously has got a farewell the way Ambrose is getting right now. If this is all true, then he must be very much respected backstage in the locker room. After Shield's final match, WWE could make this a huge deal if the whole locker room comes out to congratulate Dean and wish him the best for his future.

#4 Finn Balor loses his Intercontinental Championship

Finn is scheduled to defend his title at the show!

To all the readers who don't know this yet, The Shield's Final Chapter will also feature our InterContinental Champion, Finn Balor defending his title against a not yet been announced superstar.

There could be many Superstars whom Finn could face, like Sami Zayn, Andrade, etc. But what fans won't be expecting is to see a title change and Finn losing the IC title merely a few weeks after he won it at WrestleMania. This might be a huge blow to Balor's credibility, and hence would be a huge shock.

#3 Vince McMahon confronts Dean Ambrose

This segment would keep fans on their feet!
This segment would keep fans on their feet!

The whole situation of Dean leaving and the farewell looks a little weird to me. Vince McMahon doesn't really give so much to wrestlers who ask for their release. But Dean's case has been completely different.

What if after their final match, the Boss himself comes down to the ramp to have a one-on-one discussion with Dean? If all this indeed is a huge swerve, this could be an ideal way of making fans chant "Holy sh*t".

Both Vince and Dean could break the 4th wall during this segment, as Vince would show his desperation of keeping Dean in WWE. What if Vince loses his mind and promises Dean the main event of WrestleMania 36 to make him stay?

A confused looking Dean walking back to the stage looking at Vince with a smile on his face would make fans tune in to RAW because of what did they just saw!

#2 Post-match beatdown

The top heels would catapult to a new level!
The top heels would catapult to a new level!

The Shield is set to face the team of Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, and Baron Corbin in their last match in WWE. Fans are all but expecting a final feel-good moment, with Shield winning the match and standing tall to close the show.

But what if the heel trio attacks these three hounds after suffering a loss at their hands? A post-match beat down could very well help these heels increase the heat as fans would watch in disbelief the Shield being beaten up in their last match.

#1 The Shield loses their last match

Like seriously, is there any chance this happens?
Like seriously, is there any chance this happens?

Out of all the possibilities in this article, this might be the least likely of them all to happen. Like seriously, is there any chance The Shield loses their last match? But that's what makes it the biggest shocker!

It's a trend for wrestlers to go out on their back, the recent one being Kurt Angle, who lost to Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35 in his retirement match. What if The Shield does the same. I don't mean to say these stars are anywhere near their retirement, but as a unit, this might be the last time they compete together.

If this does happen, it would be counted as one of the biggest upsets in WWE history!
