Big E and Kevin Owens' friendship did not last too long on WWE RAW

WWE gave away the names of the male and female members of Team RAW on social media earlier this week. Instead of holding qualifying matches to determine who would make it to Survivor Series, the creative team looked to build some other storylines on RAW.

Kevin Owens was ready to take on Seth Rollins in a grudge match after what went down last week. A massive Fatal 5-Way match was also booked to determine who would face Becky Lynch for the RAW Women’s Championship next.

Chad Gable got a top match against Big E on this week’s show. Gable did his best during the contest but could not put away the WWE Champion on RAW. Meanwhile, the 24/7 Championship changed hands several times.

WWE delivered a rather solid episode on Monday night. Let's take a look at the five things WWE got right on RAW this week:

#5. Kevin Owens tried to shut up Seth Rollins early on WWE RAW

Kevin Owens appeared with Big E on WWE RAW and tried to apologize to the latter. After all, he nearly won against the WWE Champion last time thanks to some allegedly unexpected interference from Seth Rollins.

Things didn’t work out, and Seth Rollins appeared in the ring this week dressed in one of the most ridiculous suits of all time. The Messiah pointed fingers at Owens’ character and questioned whether or not he was an honorable man. He reminded the WWE Universe that The Prizefighter had backstabbed many superstars including his best friend Sami Zayn. He also mentioned that KO had turned on The New Day not too long ago.

Owens came out on RAW and looked to attack Rollins early. He nearly hit an apron powerbomb before Rollins managed to escape. The segment was to the point and did well to set the tone for the rest of the night.

Owens has been one of the top babyfaces on RAW for some time. Rollins, on the other hand, has pushed many superstars to the edge lately. The segment hinted towards a possible turn for The Prizefighter.

With big stars like Rollins, Owens, and Big E in the picture early on, fans expected the show to only get better. Additionally, a match between Rollins and Owens was booked for the main event.

#4. Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode continued to grow as the next top challengers on WWE RAW

The Street Profits and RK-Bro united to take on The Dirty Dawgs and the team of AJ Styles and Omos on WWE RAW. Randy Orton and Riddle spoke about their issues with Omos before The Viper said that he did not care about The Street Profits.

However, the two teams were on the same page in the ring as they looked to take down the heels. The match kicked off, and the heels isolated Riddle early on to gain the upper hand. The Original Bro finally fought back and tagged in Orton, who took down nearly everyone in his path.

Omos later came into the ring and overpowered his opponents with ease. He nearly took down Montez Ford for the victory. Ford managed to tag Angelo Dawkins, who then went on a roll.

The heels took out Randy Orton by dropping him on the ring steps outside the ring. Back inside, miscommunication eventually took over. Ziggler stole a tag from Omos and the heels imploded as the latter laid everyone out in sight, including Riddle.

Ziggler took advantage and slid in to pin The Original Bro for the win. After the match, Orton leveled The Showoff with an RKO.

The match was fast-paced and exciting, and the final moments of the entire segment hinted towards another RAW Tag Team Championship match between RK-Bro and The Dirty Dawgs.

#3. Bobby Lashley ripped apart Dominik Mysterio on WWE RAW

Rey and Dominik Mysterio made their way to the WWE RAW ring where Adam Pearce joined them this week. Both superstars were added to Team RAW for Survivor Series not too long ago.

Pearce admitted he made a mistake by adding Dominik to Team RAW. He claimed that all the other members of the team were former world champions except for the younger Mysterio.

Pearce revealed that Dominik could stay on the team, but only if he beat Bobby Lashley. The All Mighty then returned with MVP by his side and looked set to end Dominik early.

The young superstar used his speed to take the former WWE Champion off guard but could not carry on for too long. Despite locking in the Hurt Lock soon after, Lashley prevented Dominik from tapping out.

He kept the pressure on and attacked Rey before sending Dominik into the steel post and then hitting the Spear. Instead of pinning Dominik, Lashley locked in the Hurt Lock again and forced him to tap out.

RAW did well to undo some of the damage that was done to Lashley at the hands of Goldberg. Even though the victory came against Dominik, The All Mighty got to showcase his impressive strength. It was the right call to add Lashley to Team RAW instead of Dominik.

#2. Liv Morgan punched her ticket to a championship match on WWE RAW

A huge Fatal 5-Way match was booked for WWE RAW this week. Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Carmella, Rhea Ripley, and Queen Zelina competed for a chance to get a future shot at the RAW Women’s Championship.

Becky Lynch joined the commentary team as members of the women's Team RAW took to the ring for the contest. Carmella and Zelina worked together for some time before going after each other. Ripley was taken down early on, but she came back to showcase her strength in the match.

Belair reentered the ring and took the fight to Carmella and Zelina before Liv sent her back outside the ring. The EST showcased her power once again and threw Zelina out of the ring on the other competitors.

Late in the contest, Ripley delivered a Riptide to Belair, but Morgan broke the pin. She delivered Oblivion, but then Zelina broke the pin.

Doudrop appeared to take Belair out of the ring and eliminate her from the match, as Carmella tried to steal the win. However, Liv stopped her arch-enemy and delivered a crucifix roll-up for the victory.

RAW could have done much better by giving Liv Morgan a convincing victory. However, her fans will be glad to see that she is finally in the RAW Women’s Championship picture.

Now the question is, will WWE give her a good push at the top of the card in the weeks to come?

#1. Kevin Owens turned heel on the WWE Champion on RAW

WWE Champion Big E came out to watch the main event for RAW up close. Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens entered the ring for one of the biggest matches of the night.

KO dominated the action early on and hit a couple of cannonballs to knock the wind out of Rollins. He tried to hit the powerbomb on the apron, but Rollins broke loose and took out his knee.

The two men started pummeling each other with some big moves to keep the action ticking. Rollins gained control in the middle portion of the match and worked on KO’s midsection.

He missed a splash at one point, allowing Owens to hit a frog splash of his own for a two-count. The two men kept going at each other before Big E got involved in the action. The fight spilled over to the floor, and the WWE Champion accidentally prevented Owens from beating the ten-count.

As a result, Rollins picked up the victory. After the match, a frustrated Owens unleashed on Big E. He sent the WWE Champion into the steel steps and hit a powerbomb on the apron to end the segment on RAW.

Kevin Owens’ heel turn was long overdue, and WWE did well to build the storyline before breaking him.

Now, KO might challenge Big E for the WWE Championship even before Seth Rollins. These recent turn of events could help RAW build some good championship rivalries just like SmackDown.
