All right, before anyone jumps the gun, let me confess, that first of all, I’m not undermining The Undertaker and what he’s to offer at Wrestlemania 32. Second. I’m a big fan of both The Phenom and Shane McMahon. In fact, In of my earlier pieces, I wrote about how exciting the return of Shane McMahon is and how it has given a new sense of excitement to the WWE Universe regarding the future of the WWE.

I believe that Shane McMahon will be a part of many more feuds and rivalries in the near future.
Wrestlemania 32 promises to be really exciting with a few rumoured returns of superstars – both new and old, budding and legendary and of course – one of the best match cards of the year.
Senseless promos
But as promising as everything sounds, it’s very hard to swallow this “feud” they’re trying to shove down our throats. Not that I don’t want to see them in the ring, it’s just that I’m not happy with the promos leading up to the match. Even logically, it’s hard to make sense of this match.
I mean, for starters what does The Undertaker really have against Shane McMahon, I mean The Phenom gets into fights for prudent reasons and not just for the heck of it. The last and only opponent to beat the Undertaker at WrestleMania was Brock Lesnar, who ended his streak.
I’m not saying that the Streak should be the only reason for The Deadman to enter the ring, but shouldn’t he be looking for a bigger challenge. Perhaps, someone he hasn’t faced or beaten before?
Plus, he unequivocally advocated that he’s not going to follow Vince McMahon’s orders, so why did he agree to face Shane McMahon in the first place? What’s he really going to achieve by beating a forty-six-year-old semi-professional wrestler?
Again, no disrespect meant to either. I’ve been a big fan of Shane O Mac as he’s produced some brilliant matches in the past. I’m not saying that he can’t wrestle, but Shane was never a full-time professional wrestler.
Lack of credibility
Which also begs the question – what really is the probability of Shane beating The Phenom, given that Brock Lesnar has been the only person in all these years to have beaten The Undertaker at Wrestlemania?
We’re talking about wrestlers like Kane, Shawn Michaels, CM Punk, HHH and several other superstars who fell short. Will it really make sense if Shane cleanly beats The Undertaker at Wrestlemania?
Which leads us to ponder how he’s going to win. Clearly, the writers have something in mind. Or is there going to be an interference? Remember Bad Blood 1997? Can we rule out Shane beating The Undertaker all by himself inside The Undertaker’s proverbial backyard? Or is there an anti-climax in the works?
Keeping in mind the newly added stipulation, which says that if Undertaker loses then it will be his last ever Wrestlemania. Which gives rise to another conundrum, what’s in store for the Undertaker and his career if he loses?
Why’s the Game non-existent in the feud?
But before we delve into that, there’s one thing that has really boggled the mind of many. Where the bloody hell is HHH in this entire angle? How have the brother and the brother in law not come face to face yet? It makes no sense that HHH hasn’t got involved in the entire angle yet. I mean HHH is a huge stakeholder in this ordeal, not just financially, or power wise, but his wife and father-in-law are involved.
Not only does he want control of Raw, he also disrespected his father-in-law and his wife! He has been known to react to similar stimuli, and more often than not, it has involved the other guy not being able to walk on both feet for a while.
The inevitable swerve
Speaking of control, why does Shane O Mac want control of only Raw? There has been no real justification, direct or indirect regarding that claim.
So, what do the creators have in the works? Have they got a shocking twist in store for us? Are we going to see another McMahon-Helmsley era? HHH’s silence and an apparent non-challenge regarding the entire angle has really got the fans thinking as to who’s going to win the match. Consequently, what is going to happen to the Company? who’s going to get to control Monday Night Raw?
The Hell in a Cell match might just be his retirement bout, given how he’s been competing only at Wrestlemania for a while now.
But, if Shane loses, will that be it for him? Are we going to have to bid farewell to WWE’s supposed saviour so soon? Are these questions even going to be answered after Wrestlemania 32?
