WrestleMania weekend is always one of the exciting things in WWE. It's a five-day event which includes NXT Takeover, Hall of Fame, WrestleMania, Raw, and SmackDown.
There are many unexpected moments that occur on these events, Normally it features many incredible returns and debuts of various former and current Superstars.
This year, not only WrestleMania 35 but even the following Raw and SmackDown had some surprises. Many Superstars also traded their brands possibly for just one night.
So here are nine of the biggest unexpected moments from the WrestleMania 35 weekend...

#9 Lacey Evans begins a feud with Undisputed Women's Champion Becky Lynch
Before WrestleMania 35 it was heavily rumored that WWE is high on the new NXT debutant Lacey Evans and they want to give her a "Super Big Push" to the main event picture.
It seems WWE has begun that push, on this week's Raw and SmackDown Evans brutally assaulted the new Raw and SmackDown Women's Champion Becky Lynch.
With rumors of Ronda Rousey possibly injured and might return at SummerSlam 2019 or Royal Rumble 2020, Evans seems a great option for Lynch's first title defense.
#8 Lars Sullivan debuts on Raw and SmackDown
Lars Sullivan was rumored to debut before WrestleMania 35 and also have a feud with John Cena. But a sudden anxiety attack changed the plans for The Freak.
Triple H said in an interview that Sullivan is doing well and will return soon. Sullivan finally debuted on both Raw and SmackDown after WrestleMania 35.
He attacked Kurt Angle on Raw after his farewell speech and then on SmackDown he attacked The Hardy Boyz after they won SmackDown Tag Team Titles.
#7 Hulk Hogan returned at WrestleMania 35
Hulk Hogan was expected to be part of WrestleMania 35 weekend. As he was inducting Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony.
But in one of the surprising moments of the show, he showed up at WrestleMania 35 alongside the host of WrestleMania 35 Alexa Bliss.
The Hulkster once again welcomed the fans to Silverdome, even though it was in MetLife Stadium (repeating the joke of WrestleMania 30).
#6 Many top WWE Superstars trade brands
The most surprising thing that happened on this week's Raw and SmackDown was many WWE superstars traded their brands. It's unknown whether it was just for one week.
Kofi Kingston came to Raw and challenged Seth Rollins in a Winner Takes All match, later on, The Bar came to Raw and interfered in the match which turned it to a tag team match.
Braun Strowman appeared on SmackDown and confronted the United States Champion Samoa Joe and Drew McIntyre also teamed up with The Bar to face The New Day.
#5 Sami Zayn returned to challenge Intercontinental Champion Finn Bálor
Sami Zayn was rumored to return before WrestleMania 35. But the return instead occurred on Raw after WrestleMania 35 with a new look (a shaven head).
Zayn returned and challenged the new Intercontinental champion Finn Bálor, the match was quite exciting since both have also collided in NXT before.
Bálor defeated Zayn and retained his title which he won one night prior on the show of shows. It seems this rivalry will continue the following months.
#4 John Cena returned as the "Doctor of Thugnomics"
John Cena was set to appear and also have a match at WrestleMania 35 but his opponent was unknown. A returning superstar was also set to interrupt Elias's musical performance.
It turned out to be none other than John Cena who interrupted Elias performance but the most surprising thing about his return was that he changed his gimmick.
John Cena returned as "The Doctor of Thugnomics", his old gimmick which was changed after Cena started ascending to the main event picture.
#3 The Hardy Boyz win the SmackDown Tag Team Titles
The Hardy Boyz were involved in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 35. But they faced SmackDown Tag Team Champions on SmackDown.
They defeated The Usos to become the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions after the match they were attacked by the new NXT debutant Lars Sullivan.
But the title change was still very unexpected, normally one or two title changes happen on Raw and SmackDown after WrestleMania. This year The Hardy Boyz became champions.
#2 The Undertaker returned to interrupt Elias
The Undertaker was rumored to be in New York and many fans expected The Deadman to appear at WrestleMania 35 in some capacity but he didn't make an appearance at all.
Instead, he returned on Raw after WrestleMania 35 to confront Elias. Undertaker hit Elias with a big boot, a chokeslam and a final tombstone.
This appearance was a complete surprise to the fans watching the event. There are rumors that he might begin a one-off feud with Elias for the Saudi Arabia show in June.
#1 All three top babyfaces walk out with the top titles
WrestleMania 35 could have been one of the most unexpected WrestleMania's ever. As all the top babyfaces won their respective title matches on the show.
Becky Lynch became the Undisputed Women's Champion by defeating Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey and SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair.
Seth Rollins conquered Brock Lesnar to become the new Universal Champion and Kofi Kingston defeated Daniel Bryan to become WWE Champion.
