WWE: 5 things that can make Money in the Bank PPV memorable

In a couple of days, the Philadelphia crowd will be treated to yet another spectacle, as we gear up for the Money in the Bank PPV. One of the biggest reasons why this PPV has that “Big event feel” is because of the return of a certain individual who will undoubtedly get the loudest reception from the Philly crowd.

He is no stranger to the fans or the WWE Universe, as he is a former WWE champion. This Sunday, we will witness the return of Rob Van Dam to WWE!

Other than that, the two ladder matches involve some high profile names, as well as a heap of young talent who can certainly benefit from the Money in the Bank briefcase. As Daniel Bryan and CM Punk look to be the favorites to win the RAW Money in the Bank ladder match, the Money in the Bank ladder match for the World Heavyweight championship looks to be a very open bout, as anyone can retrieve the briefcase and cash it in for a chance to make a date with destiny.

In this article, I take a look at five possibilities which can make the Money in the Bank PPV memorable.

5. Orton heel turn and feud with RVD

Randy Orton

For months now, people have been clamouring for an Orton heel turn, but that hasn’t happened yet. With Orton stuck in the middle of nowhere, WWE doesn’t have a long term plan for Orton.

Being a multi time world champion, Orton deserves better than this from the creative department, and in recent weeks, Orton has shown signs of turning heel. With RVD making his return at the Money in the Bank PPV, what better way to solidify the heel turn than for Orton to attack RVD post match? That would give Orton and RVD something concrete going into Summerslam.

Orton and RVD already have a history, and WWE can play on that if they want to.

4. AJ/Big E turn on Ziggler

With Dolph Ziggler now officially turning face, one has to wonder where the Ziggler – AJ Lee duo will go from here. If the reports are to be believed, WWE wants to go ahead with a Ziggler-Big E feud through the Summer, which would imply Big E or AJ Lee turning on Ziggler.

Although I want Ziggler to win the World title come Sunday, I’d rather prefer a ‘title hunt’ angle with Ziggler overcoming the odds and regaining the World title, and the first step would be Big E or AJ costing Ziggler the match come Sunday at the Money in the Bank PPV.

This will not only start something fresh in the WWE, but will also put over the Big E-AJ duo as major heels in the company.

3. Brock Lesnar/Paul Heyman costing CM Punk the match

CM Punk is involved in the Money in the Bank ladder match for the WWE title, along with 6 other competitors. With Punk and Bryan being the odds on favourite, it would be better if WWE makes either Lesnar or Heyman cost CM Punk the match.

As Punk is the number 2 guy in the company, WWE can’t let Punk lose the match without something dramatic happening, and a returning Lesnar can cost Punk the briefcase, thus setting up their much anticipated bout at Summerslam.

Reports have already come out that Lesnar is scheduled to appear on the RAW after the Money in the Bank PPV, and hence, I’m expecting at least Paul Heyman to turn on Punk, making his intentions clear and siding with Brock Lesnar.

2. Dean Ambrose winning the Money in the Bank ladder match for the World Heavyweight championship

Dean Ambrose

The Smackdown Money in the Bank ladder match can be the most interesting bout on the card, as anyone can retrieve the briefcase and earn the opportunity to get a match wherever and whenever they want for the World title, and the favourite to win this match is the United States champion, Dean Ambrose.

Ambrose is arguably the biggest heel in the WWE, within months after debuting on the main roster. The WWE management and the officials are high on Ambrose, and he is already looked upon as a future WWE champion.

If WWE decides to pull the trigger with Dean Ambrose, it can lead to a very interesting period in the WWE.

1. Daniel Bryan winning the Money in the Bank ladder match for the WWE title

It is only appropriate to put the most over guy in the WWE on top, as Daniel Bryan is the odds on favourite to win the RAW Money in the Bank ladder match. Daniel Bryan has been on fire for the past couple of months, and he is scheduled to get into a feud with John Cena through the Summer.

It makes sense for Daniel Bryan to win the Money in the Bank ladder match this Sunday and cashing it in at Summerslam. Daniel Bryan is one step away from breaking out as the next flag bearer of the company, as the fans adore him, and he is more over than the WWE champion.

If all the stars align, we might be on the verge of seeing the Daniel Bryan era in the WWE!
