Anderson and Gallows might skip NXT for main roster

Since late last year, WWE has been on a massive shopping spree. It was reported that the WWE was trying to snatch up top stars from the New Japan Pro Wrestling promotion to boost their dwindling ratings.

Since then ‘The Phenomenal’ AJ Styles has signed and has been performing quite well in the WWE. The charismatic Shinsuke Nakamura has also been unveiled by the WWE and is set to soon join NXT.

Two more big names on the list are Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows. Gallows and Anderson got a well-earned farewell from the fans and the backroom staff alike at NJPW after their contracts ended. It was speculated that the tag team would come to the WWE and follow the NXT path to the main roster.

PWInsider had reported that the plans have been changed for Anderson and Gallows and that they would directly join the WWE main roster.The tag division has been kind of stale of late with no one to challenge the New Day. Y2AJ seem like a filler. The inclusion of Anderson and Gallows might be just the thing that they need.
