WWE Fastlane 2019: 5 things that should happen at Fastlane

Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins - what awaits them at Fastlane?
Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins - what awaits them at Fastlane?

At WWE Fastlane, we could perhaps see a few title changes as the Women's tag team titles, the WWE Championship, RAW tag team championship, as well as the SmackDown women's championship, are on the line at the last stop before WrestleMania 35.

There's also the all-important match between Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch, where a victory for Becky will see her added to the WrestleMania 35 match between Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey.

Another match that will be interesting is the six-man tag team match between The Shield and the team of Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin, and Bobby Lashley. While the match holds little or no value, it does have some emotional value as this could be the last time we see The Shield in a PPV as Dean Ambrose is set to leave the WWE in April.

This match could also hint at Roman Reigns' future opponent, which is what we will discuss about in the 5 things that should happen at Fastlane:

#1 Roman Reigns' feud with Drew McIntyre is set

On this past week's RAW, The Shield reunited as Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns convinced Dean Ambrose to "get the band back together" for one last time. The reunion happened after the trio of Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin, and Bobby Lashley attacking Reigns and Rollins before Ambrose made the save.

Rollins is to face Brock Lesnar for the Universal title at WrestleMania 35, but we aren't quite sure what plans WWE have for The Big Dog, Roman Reigns. I think that Reigns' best opponent at WM35 could be Drew McIntyre, who has dominated on RAW since he was called up and is set for big things in the future.

This tag team match could be the perfect way to set that feud up as we're just a month away from WrestleMania 35.

#2 Trish Stratus and Lita challenge Sasha Banks and Bayley

A huge PPV like WrestleMania needs matches involving big-name Superstars and Hall of Famers, which is why a match between the team of Trish Stratus and Lita against current Women's Tag Team champions, Sasha Banks and Bayley, would please most WWE fans.

Sasha Banks and Bayley face Tamina and Nia Jax at Fastlane as they defend their Women's Tag Team titles, which I'm quite certain they will retain.

Trish Stratus and Lita should come out to challenge Banks and Bayley at Fastlane, a dream match in the eyes of many.

Bayley and Banks have spoken about how they would love to face their idols, Stratus and Lita, at WrestleMania, with Bayley speaking about it recently in an interview with Express Sport: “I think it’s a match that a lot of people want to see. I think it’s a match that everybody, just knowing how big a fan that Sasha and I are, they know it would be really cool for us. But there are also fans of Trish and Lita, who isn’t?

#3 Shane McMahon-Miz team breaks up

Ever since The Miz and Shane McMahon teamed up, following McMahon's WWE World Cup win at Crown Jewel, most fans believed that one of them would turn on the other, setting up a possible singles match at WrestleMania 35.

I think that WWE should pull the trigger on that at this Sunday's Fastlane PPV, which will give them enough time to build up for the big show.

The duo lost their tag team titles to their opponents on Sunday, The Usos, at the Elimination Chamber PPV.

I feel that The Miz should turn on Shane after they lose to The Usos once again, and eventually set up their WrestleMania 35 match. The Miz works best as a cunning, conniving heel, as his run as a babyface has not been as entertaining.

The Usos should not lose their titles at Fastlane, as rumours suggest that they could face off against the Hardy Boyz at WrestleMania 35, which would be a dream match.

#4 Ronda Rousey interferes in Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair match

On this past week's WWE RAW, Ronda Rousey unleashed her deadly side as she reclaimed her RAW Women's title from Stephanie McMahon and then went on to attack Becky Lynch, with whom she has had a very personal battle on social media over the last week or so.

Rousey seemingly turned heel on RAW with a vicious promo and then an attack on fan-favourite, Becky Lynch. On Sunday, at Fastlane, Lynch will need a victory against Charlotte Flair as a win will ensure that she gets added back to her match against Rousey and Charlotte at WrestleMania 35.

It won't be a surprise if Rousey interferes in this match, but could there be a possibility of her playing a part in who wins the match?

If Rousey wants to get more heat from the crowd, another attack on Becky at Fastlane will work in her favour as a heel.

#5 Brock Lesnar attacks Seth Rollins

Brock Lesnar is not scheduled to appear in this Sunday's Fastlane PPV, but considering the number of surprises that we've witnessed lately in the WWE, we can't rule it out.

The Beast is set to defend his Universal title against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 35, and the build to one of the main matches of the night has had little build to it, owing to Lesnar's non-appearance on RAW or even PPVs.

Following The Shield's match against Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin, and Bobby Lashley, Lesnar should make his way to the ring and take out Rollins, sending him a huge message to him ahead of their WrestleMania 35 match.

We will most likely see Lesnar on a few RAW shows before 'Mania, and his mind games could begin at Fastlane.
