WWE Greatest Royal Rumble: Preview, Match card, Analysis & Predictions

The Greatest Royal Rumble takes place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia tomorrow featuring 7 title matches as well as the 50-man Greatest Royal Rumble match.

The card rivals the WrestleMania card but the absence of the women will be a big miss. However, there's nothing that can be done about that.

Let's take a look at the card and some predictions for tomorrows show.

#10 Cedric Alexander (c) vs. Kalisto (for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship)

The card will kick-off with the Cruiserweight Championship match. Kalisto put in an incredible performance in the gauntlet match on Tuesday's 205 Live to qualify and the luchador brings momentum with him.

Alexander himself has been in a rich vein of form and winning the Cruiserweight Championship at WrestleMania in what was the biggest moment of his WWE career yet.

One cloud hangs over this intriguing match and that is the question of former #1 contender Buddy Murphy who failed to make weight and was removed for contendership. Could Murphy interfere somehow?

As of now, I see Cedric Alexander winning this and moving onto a program with Murphy.

Prediction: Cedric Alexander

#9 The Bludgeon Brothers (c) vs. The Usos (for the SmackDown Tag-Team Championships)

The Bludgeon Brothers have had The Usos' number so far. They needed Naomi to come out last week on SmackDown to make the save as Harper and Rowan went for the kill. This week on SmackDown, Naomi came out again to distract the Bludgeon Brothers, allowing Jimmy Uso to roll up Rowan for a win.

However, Naomi will not be in Saudi Arabia, something I will not get into. Without her I see the Bludgeon Brothers winning this once again, as much as I'd love the Usos to win.

Prediction: Bludgeon Brothers

#8 “Woken” Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt vs. Cesaro & Sheamus (for the RAW Tag-Team Championships)

This could be the easiest match to call on the card. With Sheamus and Cesaro on the blue brand now, it looks like a dead give away that the newly formed team of Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt will leave Jeddah with the RAW Tag-Team Championships.

Predictions: Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt

#7 Seth Rollins (c) vs. Finn Bálor vs. The Miz vs. Samoa Joe (for the WWE Intercontinental Championship)

This match could tear the house down in Jeddah. The participants of the IC title match at Mania will go at it again with Samoa Joe now added to the mix. This match is sure to be a barnstormer but the question going in is, who will leave with the title?

The rumors going in suggest that The Miz could leave and take the IC Championship to SmackDown. That way, Miz and Bryan can feud over the IC title, the title Bryan never lost when he was forced to relinquish it.

Prediction: The Miz

#6 Jeff Hardy vs Jinder Mahal (for the WWE US Championship)

Jinder Mahal's triumphant return to RAW was blighted by him losing his title to Jeff Hardy after GM Kurt Angle booked an impromptu match. Hardy moved to SmackDown the next night in the Superstar Shake-Up, taking the US title with him.

Mahal hasn't been happy since losing his title and will look to win back his title. The result of this match kind of depends on what happens in the IC title match. If Miz or Samoa Joe win, Mahal will bring back the title to SmackDown.

Prediction: Jinder Mahal

#5 John Cena vs Triple H

This could be one of the hardest matches to call on the card since it's a one-off with no build between two of the biggest names in WWE history.

Cena and Triple H are both coming off losses at WrestleMania but to be fair, neither of them really need a win. I'm going to go with Cena on this one after his loss to Undertaker in under 3 minutes.

Prediction: John Cena

#4 Undertaker vs Rusev (Casket Match)

This match was changed in the middle with Jericho set to take on Undertaker for a while but later changed back to Rusev, seemingly because Vince McMahon changed his mind.

Despite the fact that Rusev will definitely lose, it's a good prominent spot for Rusev to be in. The main question going in is - can Rusev last longer than Cena did at Mania?

Prediction: Undertaker

#3 AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura (for the WWE Championship)

AJ Styles defeated Shinsuke Nakamura at WrestleMania 34 and knocked something loose inside Nakamura. The King of Strong Style has taken AJ Styles to low blow city repeatedly since then and has developed a dangerous maniacal edge.

Armed with his new theme, Nakamura is coming to Jeddah with his sights set on AJ Styles' WWE Championship and could very well leave with it.

PREDICTION: Shinsuke Nakamura

#2 Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Roman Reigns (for the WWE Universal Championship)

Brock Lesnar shocked the WWE Universe when he beat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. However, now it looks like Reigns ate that loss only to probably win it tomorrow night in Jeddah in front of a crowd that won't boo Roman with the same vigor.

Could Brock win again? It's possible but I hope not. I'm not the biggest Roman fan in the world but the guy is good, something he doesn't get enough credit for. As for Brock, I'm done with his reign. I'm tired of the Universal title not being defended at most PPV's.

PREDICTION: Roman Reigns

#1 50-man Greatest Royal Rumble Match

This is definitely the match that's hardest to call. With 50 men in the match as well as returning legends, who could leave Saudi Arabia with the Greatest Royal Rumble trophy?

It's almost definitely going to be someone full time so we can rule out the legends. If I had to put my money on one guy, I'd put it on Daniel Bryan. If not Bryan, I'll go with Braun.

PREDICTION: Daniel Bryan
