5 things that must happen at WWE Hell in a Cell: Surprising victory for former champion; Massive return

Hell in a Cell could be a massive event for WWE
Hell in a Cell could be a massive event for WWE

WWE's Hell in a Cell is just a few nights away, and the company has built some major rivalries for the pay-per-view.

Rhea Ripley will have a chance to redeem herself as she defends the RAW Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair. Flair defeated Ripley for the NXT Championship at WrestleMania 36, and The Nightmare will be looking for payback.

Drew McIntyre will get a final shot at the WWE Championship against Bobby Lashley in Hell in a Cell. Bayley will look to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship from Bianca Belair after getting the better of her a few times.

One of the biggest matches of the night will see Rey Mysterio challenge Roman Reigns inside Hell in a Cell. Rey has already made it clear that he may not win against The Tribal Chief. But he's out to teach Reigns a lesson for laying his hands on Dominik Mysterio.

Take a look at the five things that must happen at WWE Hell in a Cell this year.

#5 Alexa Bliss must take control of Reginald at WWE Hell in a Cell

Alexa Bliss and Shayna Baszler will compete in a one-on-one match at WWE Hell in a Cell.

After costing Baszler and Nia Jax a few matches, Bliss was confronted by The Queen of Spades. However, things didn't go too well for Baszler, as stomping on Lilly turned her world upside down.

At Hell in a Cell, Baszler will likely come out for her match with Nia Jax by her side. WWE must allow Bliss to summon Reginald somehow and get him to take down Jax on her behalf.

She must then go on to pick up a surprising victory over the former NXT Women’s Champion. Baszler is a top superstar on RAW, and a victory over her will allow Bliss to start climbing up the ladder once again.

Reginald seemed to be under Bliss's spell for a little while on RAW, and he could end up joining her following the match at Hell in a Cell. It's unfortunate that The Goddess has been kept away from the ring for such a long time.

Bliss’ bizarre gimmick and the storyline seemed to be going nowhere up until recently. A few victories could help her get back on track right away. She could start performing in the ring more frequently rather than just appearing in segments.

It now looks like The Goddess could take control of Reginald and the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. This will allow her to form a villainous faction of her own, and also give Reginald a chance to become an in-ring performer.

The former RAW Women's Champion could further develop her gimmick with a few superstars by her side. The angle could take her all the way to the RAW Women’s Championship.

#4 Bianca Belair must have the last laugh at WWE Hell in a Cell

Bianca Belair will have a tough task ahead of herself at WWE Hell in a Cell. Since winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship, she has been trying to make her reign more memorable.

Over the past two months, Belair has defended her title once against Bayley. WWE needs to work on Belair’s current reign and give her a few big victories as she has been overshadowed by the Universal Champion on SmackDown.

The EST will face Bayley once again at WWE Hell in a Cell. The Role Model has been building this rivalry well and has continued to mock the SmackDown Women’s Champion over the past several weeks.

WWE must allow Belair to have the last laugh by defeating Bayley convincingly without any botches or controversial finishes. The EST needs a dominant victory so that she can back up her big WrestleMania win.

Bayley is currently the best active female wrestler on the blue brand who can help Belair put on a memorable match. A good contest would allow Belair to come across as a strong champion, and she could then move on to handpick her next challenger.

WWE could look to build Reckoning (Mia Yim) or Carmella as Belair's next challenger. Therefore, the creative team must make the most out of the match at Hell in a Cell to push Belair ahead on SmackDown.

#3 Bobby Lashley must kick Drew McIntyre out of the WWE Championship picture at Hell in a Cell

Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre will compete in yet another WWE Championship match at Hell in a Cell. However, things will be slightly different this time around.

The two men will compete inside the steel structure for the WWE title. That’s not all, as this will be McIntyre’s last shot at the title for as long as Lashley remains the champion.

Both men will have a very physical encounter inside Hell in a Cell. They will likely put each other through hell in hopes of winning the WWE Championship and some bragging rights.

However, WWE must ensure that Lashley can get the better of The Scottish Warrior and put him out of contention for the title for some time. Lashley recently completed his 100-days as champion and needs a long reign to prove his worth to the fans.

Additionally, Lashley could be in for a dream match against Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam 2021. With that in mind, WWE must move McIntyre away from the top title picture and get him off TV for some time. The All Mighty must be allowed to retain his title at Hell in a Cell and continue his reign for longer.

#2 Jinder Mahal must attack Drew McIntyre at WWE Hell in a Cell

As mentioned earlier, WWE must ensure Bobby Lashley retains his title against The Scottish Warrior at Hell In a Cell. The two men have been in a rivalry for quite some time now, and it's time that WWE separates the two men for some time.

After the match, Jinder Mahal and his faction must attack McIntyre. Mahal needs to get back on RAW, and Hell in a Cell could be the perfect place to have him return and start a new rivalry.

Fans are well aware of the history between McIntyre and Mahal. He could cite jealousy as a factor for attacking his former friend and getting into a rivalry with him.

Mahal is a former WWE Champion, and he could look to get back in the title picture by getting the better of The Scottish Warrior.

McIntyre has been part of the WWE Championship picture for a year and a half now, and he needs to move to another rivalry. This could fuel a solid rivalry comprising Mahal and his new faction, and McIntyre and The Viking Raiders.

#1 Roman Reigns must destroy Rey and Dominik Mysterio inside WWE Hell in a Cell

Roman Reigns has strolled his way into another match at WWE Hell in a Cell. He has been the biggest bully in WWE for several months now.

The Tribal Chief wasn’t too happy with The Usos' interest in the SmackDown Tag Team Championships and attacked their opponents a couple of weeks ago. Reigns destroyed Dominik Mysterio on SmackDown, and he will now face Dominik's father Rey Mysterio inside WWE Hell in a Cell.

Mysterio is no match for Reigns’ size and power. However, the veteran has the experience and courage to overcome the biggest of opponents.

While Rey will have some backing from fans, WWE must ensure Reigns dominates not just him but also his son. Reigns must pull Dominik into the cage and unload on him while his helpless father watches.

The move will allow WWE to draw even more heat towards Reigns who is already a top villain on the SmackDown brand. WWE could well use the relationship between Rey and Dominik at Hell in a Cell to give Reigns’ current character a major push.

Will Drew McIntyre win back the WWE Championship? And will The Usos play a role during Sunday's match between Roman Reigns and Rey Mysterio? Share your thoughts in the comments section below!
