Two-time Olympian Mark Henry has had many memorable storylines in his long stay in the WWE. The 20-year veteran of the company is needless to say, one of the most tenured wrestlers on the roster.
Outside the WWE, Henry has carved out quite a name for himself as a strongman and a powerlifter. He holds many weightlifting records that beggar belief and in 1990, was named the World’s Strongest Teenager by the Los Angeles Times. He holds the second highest raw powelifting total for a drug-tested athlete at 1050 kg.
The two-time WWE champion was recently interviewed by GuideLive.com. When asked his opinion of Shane McMahon’s return to the WWE and his astonishing to-be match with the Undertaker at WrestleMania 32, this is what he had to say: “You know, Shane has never disappointed. He's always been a guy that was able to rise to the occassion. And when I say rise to the occasion, Shane likes to do the unbelievable.”
“You'll see him jump off of stuff that you wouldn't think a human being would jump off of. The Undertaker, we don't even have to talk about his legacy. He's carved out a WrestleMania history that nobody can even get close to. I'm just looking forward to seeing what's next, just like the rest of the fans.”
Now in the twilight of his wrestling career, Henry was if this WrestleMania would be his last. He answered, “I can't speak for The Undertaker, but I'm hoping this will be a successful WrestleMania. It may be my last. I'm getting a little long in the tooth. I just want to be able to go out and have a good time if it is my last. I want to make an impression.”
