Someone could be in for a bruising from Brock come December

What's the story?

Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, and his Advocate Paul Heyman, have been confirmed for an appearance on an upcoming edition of Monday Night RAW on the 18th of December.

The show will take place from Providence, Rhode Island, in the Dunkin Donuts Center. The Dunkin Donuts Center revealed the news about Lesnar on their official Twitter Page.

In case you didn't know...

Brock Lesnar has held the Universal Title since WrestleMania 33 back in April, when he defeated the then Champion, Goldberg.

Lesnar as has been the norm, has not regularly been on RAW or on RAW PPVs. So far, The Beast Incarnate has defended (and retained) his title against Samoa Joe at the Great Balls Of Fire PPV back in July, against Samoa Joe, Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns at SummerSlam and then against Braun Strowman in September at the No Mercy PPV.

Brock was most recently on WWE TV when he defeated SmackDown Live WWE Champion AJ Styles in a Champion vs. Champion match at Survivor Series.

As expected, Lesnar did not appear the next night on RAW and it was unknown when he would be on TV next, with rumours saying he was scheduled to defend his title at the Royal Rumble in January 2018.

The heart of the matter

Brock Lesnar being on WWE TV is rare, so it is always something to take note of when he is being advertised.

December 18th will be little over a month before The Royal Rumble PPV. Therefore, with Lesnar seemingly not showing up on any other RAW before the one in the Dunkin Donuts Center, this edition of RAW could presumably give the WWE Universe the first inkling as to who The Beast will be taking on at the Royal Rumble.

What's next?

Alongside his manager Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar will make his presence felt on Monday Night RAW again in Providence, Rhode Island's Dunkin Donuts Center on December 18th.

Who will WWE have step up to the plate against Lesnar?

Author's take

With Intercontinental Champion Roman Reigns the rumoured opponent for Brock Lesnar at 2018's WrestleMania 34, The Big Dog obviously won't be facing him at the Royal Rumble.

But what better way to set up to his alleged WM main event match against Lesnar than for one of his Shield buddies, Dean Ambrose or Seth Rollins, to lose at the Royal Rumble in a title bout to Lesnar?

This loss could then lead to tension between Ambrose and Rollins too, which is another gossiped match for WrestleMania 34, whilst Reigns tries to take on Lesnar himself.
