What's the story?

The BackLash pay-per-view is set to take place this Sunday at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on the 6th of May. For the first time since the brand split, Superstars from both Raw and SmackDown Live will compete in the same pay-per-view, which is not a Big Four Event.

5Dimes.eu revealed the early betting odds for the event on their site.

In case you didn't know...

BackLash is set to be the first of the new format of pay-per-views of WWE. The company did away with the Brand Exclusive pay-per-views which they were hosting and instead focused on putting shows of both brands on together. Too many events had led to a fall in viewership and repetitive booking.

The BackLash pay-per-view will see stars from both brands compete. The WWE Championship is set to be defended as current champion AJ Styles takes on Shinsuke Nakamura.

The Universal Championship will not be defended, as after Brock Lesnar was able to retain his Universal Championship in the bout with Roman Reigns at the Greatest Royal Rumble event, he did not appear on the following Raw.

The following are the early betting odds for the WWE BackLash event. Thanks to Nodq.com for the heads-up.

Author's take

Betting Odds are always subject to change. If these odds reveal anything, however, it seems like there will be two Championship changes, with Nakamura and Charlotte winning their matches.
