WWE News: Hulk Hogan eyeing return to WWE

What was that? Cha what? Cha-ching?

In the tailwind of his triumph over Gawker, WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan is trying to pick up where he left off with the WWE. The Hulkster was awarded $ 140 million including punitive damages in the high-profile trial which ended a couple of days ago.

A source revealed this to Hollywood Life, according to allwrestlingnews.com: “Hulk Hogan is beyond pleased with the results and is looking to get his life back in order. And he would love his job back with the WWE.”

This might materialize sooner rather than later, as Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter believes. He stated that the WWE is agreeable to open their doors to Hogan once again, though given that there’s still some contention surrounding him over his racial slurs, if one of the company’s sponsors objected, that chapter would close.

It was reported that Hogan could end up with twice or thrice the $115 million in punitive damages if Florida State Laws prevailed, but the ultimate compensation was $25 million. Gawker has filed an appeal against the verdict citing that both Hogan and his partner, Heather Cole, were aware they were being recorded, which contradicts the argument for the privacy of the videotape.

The Hulkster tweeted this after the hearing. He will be interviewed for the first time since the hearing on Wednesday morning’s episode of “The View” on ABC.
