What's the story?

During a recent interview with TMZ, Hulk Hogan's children, Nick and Brooke, said that they were eager to see their father return at WrestleMania 34. However, they also claimed to have no knowledge about the 64-year-old's current standing with WWE. Quotes courtesy of Wrestling Inc.

In case you didn't know...

Several reports indicate that Vince McMahon is ready to welcome Hogan back into the fold. A report from PWInsider even claimed that there was a remote chance of the former WCW Champion replacing Daniel Bryan as the General Manager of SmackDown Live. "The Immortal One" even appeared at the premiere of HBO's Andre the Giant documentary.

However, Mark Henry, who will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame during WrestleMania 34 weekend, stated that he wasn't ready for Hogan to return to WWE. Henry stated that the wounds left over from Hogan's racist diatribe hadn't fully healed, asking the former NWO member to do more community service before returning to the Connecticut-based promotion.

The heart of the matter

During the interview, Brooke said that she wanted her father to go to New Orleans and appear at WrestleMania 34. "I think he should run down there and bodyslam everybody. He's 64 and he still weighs 300 and something pounds. He warms up with my max. I'm pushing as hard as I can and he's like, 'Hey I'm just warming up.' Physically, he's insane," Nick added.

When asked about Mark Henry's thoughts on father, Brooke jested that the World's Strongest Man was merely afraid of the 24-inch pythons.

What's next?

WrestleMania 34 will take place on April 08, 2018, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. During a recent set of interviews with ESPN, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon teased "something huge" for the Show of Shows. The return of Hulk Hogan would certainly fit that billing.

Author's take

Even though Hogan made a big mistake, he will return to WWE if the company believes there won't be a public backlash. The Florida native is arguably one of the biggest stars in professional wrestling history and still holds value from a merchandising and licensing standpoint.
