Even though the talk of new era has re-vitalized the product, the ratings of Raw and SmackDown has not seen a considerable boost. Many attribute this to the fact that many of the major stars are on the shelf due to injury. But, even Seth Rollins return to the shows didn't have much effect on the ratings. Now, it looks like WWE has plans to remedy that soon.
The Memorial Day edition of Raw is near and if what we hear from backstage talks are true, then we can expect a major surprise tonight. John Cena will be returning to the ring after his unexpected appearance at WrestleMania 32 for the first time. And backstage birds confirm that WWE is planning to capitalize on his return to a great extent.And strangely enough, the phenomenal one’s name is also being included in the list of people who will be involved in the impact segment.
WWE’s franchise player’s return alone is sufficient to get them higher ratings than the previous editions. But, WWE has a major surprise in store for the return it seems. The talk is that WWE has a major impact plan in place for Cena’s return and the backstage birds are confident that this night will be talked about for a long time. If other speculations are to be believed, then it is safe to say that John Cena will end the show with his back on the mat.
