Although John Cena is getting a lot of boos from the crowd for his in-ring actions, he is one of the most popular superstars globally in the WWE. He’s managed to be the face of the WWE for a decade, putting together a run longer than Hulk Hogan had in the 80s or Stone Cold had in the 90s.
He has a massive fan base, especially the kids who are addicted to the 15-time champions in-ring actions and funny speeches. Cena loves to meet the kids and recently he met the Pakistani fan named Tanzil.

The 17-year-old Tanzil ur Rehman’s lifelong dream to meet his idol superstar John Cena turned into an unforgettable reality when he travelled to the United States to attend a live RAW event, made possible by Make-A-Wish Foundation in Pakistan.
Suffering from muscular dystrophy, Rehman is a fan of the former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) champion and has been a consistent follower of Cena’s fights since 2010.
Tanzil attended the live edition of Monday Night Raw on July 4 with his family where he met John Cena and talked about his great matches in the past six years.
Donning the cap of his hero and beaming, Tanzil was the guest on Geo Pakistan morning show, on Friday. He shared about the memorable moments when he finally got to meet his idol.
“Those were the most memorable 45 minutes of my life,” he revealed to the hosts of the show, Huma Amir and Usama Ghazi.
Sitting in his customised wheelchair, Rehman proudly admits “I watch every match of his regardless of the time it gets aired in Pakistan and, if I miss a match, I watch it online.”
The founding president of Make-A-wish, Ishtiaq Baig, was present with the kid on the show and said Tanzil’s wish was the most difficult and unique one the foundation decided to fulfill.
“The entire process of arranging this meeting took around three months. Rehman’s family contacted us after which we sent an invitation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation in the US,” said Baig, adding that the family is going for a month-long visit.
“John Cena’s secretary responded immediately, and despite his busy schedule, John wanted to meet Tanzil,” Baig recalled.
He continued by saying “It was a proud moment for us, we were representing Pakistan there, the whole world was watching. When he met Tanzil, John said he now wanted to come to Pakistan because he had no idea of the fans there.
“Who knows, you might have John Cena on your show next!” he said with a smile.
Make-A-Wish is a non-profit organisation founded in the United states and arranges experiences it describes as "wishes" for children with life-threatening illnesses. In order to qualify for a wish, the child must be between the ages of 3 to 17 at the time of referral. Make-A-Wish Pakistan has been operating in the country for the last 10 years.
