Welcome to another exciting edition of WWE News Roundup.

Not long ago, a released talent stated that she was surprised by her behind-the-scenes interaction with Brock Lesnar. Another former WWE Superstar just had his first bout since departing the company. He defeated Roman Reigns' cousin and delivered a post-match speech.

Following her SmackDown segment with Ronda Rousey, Charlotte Flair reacted to the latter's nickname via Twitter. Paul Heyman also made a bold prediction for a current roster member. Lastly, today's roundup features a WWE Hall of Famer's take on comparisons between AJ Styles and Shawn Michaels.

With that in mind, let's dive straight into the news.

#5. B-Fab says WWE megastar Brock Lesnar was "super nice" to her during their interaction

Brock Lesnar is undoubtedly one of the most intimidating names in Vince McMahon's company. However, there are numerous backstage stories about him being a nice guy in real life.

In a recent virtual signing hosted by East Coast Autograph Auctions, ex-WWE star B-Fab recalled how Lesnar's actual demeanor surprised her during a behind-the-scenes exchange:

"Who surprised me? I would say honestly, Brock Lesnar surprised me because he's really nice and he's very soft-spoken and I was not expecting that. Like I was expecting him to be just like, 'Don't talk to me, no one look at me,' and he was super nice. He came up to me and shook my hand and was like, 'Hey, welcome.' I was like, 'Woah. This is awesome.' He was really awesome."

B-Fab also had this to say about Universal Champion Roman Reigns:

"Roman Reigns is really cool too. He's a really nice guy." (H/T - POST Wrestling)

Many WWE stars have said good things about Reigns' backstage demeanor over the years, which stands in contrast to his on-screen run as a top villain since 2020.

On the other hand, Lesnar mainly portrayed a threatening figure throughout most of his career. In more recent times, however, The Beast Incarnate has showcased a more light-hearted persona on television.

#4. Killer Kross has his first match since being released by WWE

Killer Kross (f.k.a. Karrion Kross) received his WWE release on November 4, 2021. Following the expiration of his non-compete clause, the 36-year-old returned to in-ring action at a recent FSW (Future Stars of Wrestling) event in Las Vegas.

Kross defeated Roman Reigns' cousin, Jacob Fatu, in the main event to win the vacant FSW Grand Championship. Here's what Kross said following his victory:

"Eight years ago, I got in front of many of you. And to see you guys here tonight, I just wanted to say that this has definitely been the roughest last two years in human history in a very long time. I'm glad to see that you guys are sticking together in support of professional wrestling. If you guys have known me for many years, you know I'm not into this pandering s**t, I'm speaking to you from the heart. Thank you so much for staying with me through the course of this company."

It's widely believed that the two-time NXT Champion's main roster run did not live up to expectations. Following his latest match, Kross admitted that things got "weird" in his last few months on WWE television:

"All of us here created something for me and for you, years ago, and s**t got weird in the last four months on TV, real weird. However, I will say this: the thing that we created here together, through these shows, we all got to see that on NXT. Which, in my opinion, is pretty f**king awesome." (H/T - Wrestling Inc.)

Killer Kross is set to face TNA legend Homicide next month. It will be interesting to see if he signs with a major promotion at some point down the line.

#3. Charlotte Flair reacts to Ronda Rousey's 'Baddest Woman on the Planet' nickname after WWE SmackDown

Last week's WWE SmackDown concluded with a segment featuring Charlotte Flair, Sonya Deville and Ronda Rousey. Rousey, the 2022 Women's Royal Rumble winner, challenged Flair to a WrestleMania 38 showdown.

Interestingly, this was the former UFC sensation's first appearance on the blue brand. The WWE on FOX Twitter account recently acknowledged the same and referred to her as the 'Baddest Woman on the Planet.'

Flair responded with a quote tweet, implying that she is more worthy of Rousey's popular nickname. Check out her reaction below:

Charlotte tweeted the above statement in character, of course, adding more significance to the heel-face dynamic of her feud with Ronda Rousey.

The two women have gone one-on-one previously. At Survivor Series 2018, Rousey defeated The Queen via disqualification. And despite Flair's status as SmackDown Women's Champion, it seems like history may repeat itself on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

WrestleMania 38 could be the event that launches the former UFC fighter back to the top of the card.

#2. Paul Heyman thinks Madcap Moss will have a bright future in WWE

Paul Heyman believes Riddick Moss (a.k.a. Madcap Moss) could become a WWE main eventer down the road.

Speaking on Corey Graves' After the Bell podcast, The Tribal Chief's special counsel used Roman Reigns' on-screen evolution to illustrate how Moss can elevate his own game. Heyman stated that "there'll be no stopping" the 32-year-old once he upgrades to the next level of his career:

"Riddick Moss is going to be a star. I don't think anyone has a clue just how capable he is. He's demonstrated he can walk into any personality that he's assigned as a task at the moment," said Heyman.

Heyman, who is well-known for his ability to spot untapped talent, went on to say that he thinks Moss will one day be unstoppable:

When Riddick Moss has the emergence out of his shell into his next incarnation, the same way The Big Dog elevated his game, upgraded his status, morphed into and evolved into The Tribal Chief — Riddick Moss' next iteration in WWE, there'll be no stopping him. He's a main eventer."

The SmackDown star is currently in an alliance with Happy Corbin. While their run together has received mixed reviews thus far, Heyman's statement indicates that we've yet to witness Moss' true potential.

#1. Kurt Angle compares AJ Styles to fellow WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels

AJ Styles is often called the Shawn Michaels of this generation. This isn't a unique distinction in WWE, either, but a sentiment shared throughout professional wrestling as a whole.

Kurt Angle, a legendary performer in his own right, has been in the ring with both men throughout his career. The veteran believes that as impressive as Styles is in the squared circle, he has yet to reach Michaels' level of in-ring brilliance.

Here's what the WWE Hall of Famer had to say on the latest edition of The Kurt Angle Show:

"Listen, let me tell you something about AJ. Everybody has their best match with AJ. He has great chemistry with everybody. I wouldn't put him up there with Shawn Michaels yet, but eventually I will put him up there with Shawn Michaels. He is that good," said Angle.

While Angle and Michaels are retired from professional wrestling, AJ Styles remains one of the most prominent competitors on WWE RAW.

At 44 years old, however, it will be interesting to see how much longer The Phenomenal One can maintain his consistency in the ring.
