WWE Superstar Matt Riddle reveals idea of storyline involving Kurt Angle

Matt Riddle recently spoke to TalkSport and shared an idea he had, regarding a storyline with WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle:

"You know what crossed my mind originally [with Kurt Angle]? There’s the management thing, but then like in my head – and maybe this is just greedy me – in my head, when I see Kurt Angle, even if I like him and I’m friendly with him, I know the money is in beating up Kurt Angle."
“I was really hoping he was going to cost me the cage match and then the Bro was going to snap and beat up Kurt Angle! Some deadlift Germans to an Olympic gold medallist from the Stallion? You telling me everybody at home wouldn’t be like ‘no he didn’t just dump him on his head!’ – because that’s what I do! It would have been crazy.”

Why Charlotte Flair wasn’t pinned at WWE NXT TakeOver: In Your House

The main event of WWE NXT TakeOver: In Your House saw Io Shirai pin Rhea Ripley to win the NXT Women's Championship in the triple threat main event. Shirai pinned Ripley to win the title, instead of Charlotte who went into the match as the champion.

After the show, Triple H explained why Charlotte wasn't pinned during the post-show conference call:

The finish was done the way it was done tonight for a very specific reason. Some people will read into that an say, ‘Jeez Charlotte can’t even get beat by — now to me that whole rhetoric with her name and stuff and being Charlotte Flair and her dad and her name and all that stuff is garbage — she works as hard as anybody I’ve ever seen. She’s a great performer she deserves everything she’s ever gotten and has. This was done for very specific reasons for storytelling purposes and hopefully, if we get to tell the story the way we want to over the next coming months I think three or four months from now hopefully you’ll go ‘I know exactly why they did the finish that they did.'

Eric Bischoff compares MJF to Triple H

AEW's MJF was compared to WWE's Triple H

On a recent episode of his podcast, 83 Weeks, former WWE RAW GM Eric Bischoff spoke about how there are no true heels in wrestling anymore.

Bischoff went on to compare MJF to Triple H, saying that MJF was a better heel than Triple H, saying that Triple H is the same character regardless of whether he is a heel or a babyface:

Go back and watch Triple H's matches and compare to when he was a babyface to a heel, there aren't any differences; he was the same character as a heel and a babyface. If you're going to be a heel, be a f*****g heel. Invest in it, enjoy it, live it. Learn to suck the life out of every moment so that the babyface you're in the ring with gets the benefit of it. That's why I am putting MJF over because he embraces his character. There's only one guy that I could pick out of a crowd that could be the next meaningful heel, and that's MJF. Everyone else has this thing where I can turn at any minute; you can't tell if I'm a babyface or a heel. It's so grey. Good guys, bad guys, baby faces, heels, it's all just one big fog and not enough of anybody else standing out from the fog.

Reason why Rey Mysterio has been taken off WWE TV

Rey Mysterio called out Seth Rollins from his home on a recent episode of RAW, with Dominick also making an appearance. It appears that WWE are building towards Dominick's in-ring debut in a feud against Seth Rollins.

Sportskeeda's Tom Colohue and Corey Gunz recently discussed this on an episode of Dropkick DiSKussions. According to Colohue, Mysterio is currently off television to help Dominick get ready for his debut:

At the moment, there is a bit of a distance between him and his trainers because of the furlough and the people being released and because of the pandemic as it were, but he has kept training with his father, which is one of the reasons why Rey is taking this time off right now, why he's taken the time to go home so that he can work with Dominick, get him up to speed because it is getting closer because Rey Mysterio leaving the company or retiring is also getting closer. It was only an 18-month contract after all. And he wants to work with Dominick. So Dominick needs to be ready sooner rather than later.
